I'm all for self-inserts—done it a few times, myself—I like this idea, and that you've hit all the big cases from Clash up to just before Mystery Train (by the way, how long do you think that'll take to write? It's one of the longest cases in DC—only it and 3 other cases are either just as long or longer... and that's out of 270 cases, overall).
In the spin-off, I love that Gosho's taking you screwing around with his story so well—"I wonder what she'll do next...?"

Right now I'm not making the case itself but a build up chapter. But in the MT... I'm trying to fit it into one chapter. Just like I do with movies. Tsukiko won't be with the murder case so it will already cut a lot material. We'll see what will happen thought.
