"A-ah, I was just..."

"Just what? I was going to the bus stop just now and I saw something fall into the forest... Something... WHITE!!" Aoko stated, hands on her hips.

"White? What's white and falls into the forest in the middle of the night?" retorted Kaito.

"The Kid, that's what!!" cried Aoko. Her eyes looked like they were shaking, like she was about to cry. "Why, Kaito?"

"A-and what makes you think I'm the Kid?" asked Kaito nervously.

Aoko shook her head and paced quickly towards Kaito. She lifted the black cloak and pointed at his pocket.

"That!!"

'That' was the Sunshine Amber.

"I...." Kaito's mood drooped. "I-I can explain... Aoko..."

"Why? You know I hate the Kid! You know my dad hates the Kid!! But why... why are you doing this, Kaito? Kaito?" she sobbed. She slumped down beside Kaito and buried her face in her hands.

"Aoko... I... I'll tell you. J-just don't cry..." Kaito leaned down and patted Aoko on the back.

"I'll tell you everything..."

"That's what happened?"

"Yeah," replied Kaito. "That's what happened."

"But everyone thinks your dad died of an accident... Guess not, huh..." said Aoko with a heavy mood. Her tears had dried.

"Ah. And that's why I need to steal gems. I need to find the Pandora before they do.

"The sky's clearing up, Kaito."

"Mn? Oh, yeah, it is."

"You can check now, right? If the Amber's the Pandora."

"Yes I can!" Kaito lifted himself up and started towards a nearby tree. He flew up onto a high branch and lifted the Amber up to the sky.

The light of the full moon shimmered through the Amber. Aoko ran over below Kaito.

Yappari...

A bright red gem in the shape of a diamond glittered inside the Amber.

Finally... After everything...

"Oi, Kaito!! It's getting late, should we go home yet?" cried Aoko from below.

No response.

"Oooi~!!"

As Aoko thought of climbing up to where Kaito was sitting, a single drop of water dripped down from above.

"And it's gonna ra--" started Aoko. The drop of water dripped right into her mouth.

"EEEEW!!!!" squealed Aoko. "Gross!" (She probably thought it was bird poo XDD)

Then she stopped. The water (or was it?) tasted sweet and tangy, but burned her throat like hell.

"G-GAH!!!!" gasped Aoko as she fell down. She put her hand to her throat and coughed.

Kaito flew down worriedly. "Aoko? Aoko! What's wrong? Aoko!!!"

He picked her up as Aoko whispered a single word...

"Throat..." and she fainted.

Aoko slowly opened her eyes to face a girl witl, uh, cat ears. And tail.

"Wha- who... who are you? And how did you know my name?"

"Kuroba-kun called us..." said Ran, walking in the room.

"Kuro- Kaito?" Aoko sat up hurriedly. "Wh-where is he?"

"He's outside," replied Ran. "Waiting for you. Now, have some porridge."

"Okay, I guess," said Aoko. She picked up the bowl and sipped slowly.

"We're not gonna poison you, nyaa!" giggled Kazuha.

"Heh."

Kaito opened the door. "Is she awake?"

"I'm awake all right," muttered Aoko.

"Uh, oh! That's... nice," said Kaito. "Look, I'm sorry about what happened, I-"

"I understand. Sorta."

"R-really...?"

"Yeah. I think."

"Yay!" Kaito grinned happily and glomped Aoko. Well, he would've if Kazuha didn't clear her throat at that exact moment.

"My name's Kazuha, nyaa!" she said warmly. "And this is Ran-chan."

"Kazuha-nyaa?"

"J-just Kazuha, nyaa."

"That's what you said. Kazuha-nyaa. Weird name."

"No! My name is Ka-zu-ha!" cried Kazuha in frustration.

"Oh." Aoko blinked.

"Introductions are hard when you nyaa..." sighed Kaito.

Kaito walked into the room with a flourish. "Ohayo, minna-san!!" he sang.

Hakuba buried his face in his hands. "No. No. Not again. NO."

Akako smirked and leaned over to the two newbies. "You're lucky; Kuroba-kun's in his showbiz mood today."

"Showbiz mood?" asked the girl with short brown hair and glasses.

"What's that supposed to mean...?" asked the boy with scruffy black hair suspiciously.

"Just look, and, learn~" chuckled Akako darkly.

"Minna-san! Today I have my little helper, Snowball!" cried Kaito. He snapped his fingers and a white dove appeared out of a puff of pink smoke.

"Sugoi!" cried the girl.

At this moment, the teacher walked in.

"Kuroba-kun....?"

"Yes, ma'am!!" smiled Kaito innocentely. Snowball fluttered onto his shoulder and cocked her head to the left.

"What is that BIRD doing in my classroom?"

"It's here to learn, miss! Isn't that why we come to school?"

"Wow," whispered the girl to Akako. "He's brave, isn't he?"

Aoko sighed. "Yeah, but this is minor..."

"Well, I do NOT want a bird in my classroom, Kuroba! Please take it away!" said the teacher.

"Okay," replied Kaito. He snapped his fingers and the bird disappeared in another puff of pink smoke.

"Cool!" laughed the boy. "This isn't like class at all!"

"Thank you, Kuroba-kun. Now go back to your seat and open your book to page 27..."

The class simmered down and opened their books quietly.

~~*30 minutes later...*~~

The girl yawned. "I can see why this sensei's called the Wooden Plank," she mumbled to the boy.

"Because she's a flatty?" grinned the boy tiredly.

The girl rolled her eyes. "Pervert! No, because this is so boooooring...... YAWN."

The newbies turned to look at Kaito. He was slumped on his books and yawning.

"Isn't he gonna do more tricks?" asked the boy.

Just then, Kaito woke up with a start. He had a twinkle in his eyes. and his fingers moved to make a snapping pose.

"I think he is," giggled the girl.

Kaito snapped his fingers quietly and turned Hakuba's uniform into a Sherlock Holmes outfit, complete with hat and pipe. Hakuba spit out the pipe and glared at Kaito.

With another snap, a sleeping Aoko was suddenly dressed in a set of blue pyjamas.

A few more snaps, and most of the class were in different outfits. He himself was wearing a loose shirt and baggy jeans.

"Wow," gasped the girl.

Three more snaps.

Akako was dressed as a witch. She smiled at Kaito slyly as she made a broom come out of nowhere.

The boy was dressed in a white tuxedo. He blinked twice and laughed uneasily.

The girl was dressed in goth punk clothes. She gasped in awe and muttered, "I wish I had these shoes..."

Overall, it was a tiring day.
