Alu, I think this judgement was unfair, because:

-Marie did not post yet
-I think the winners were chosen because the judges were amused by their drawings, which made the winners get chosen
-Isnt drawing more drawings suppose to increase the chances of winning? conanedogawa142 and that other person should have at least made it to the winners because they drew a ton! They should have at least won a cased closed volume...(yes, even though I want one really bad, too.) this topic deserves fairness.

- Marie posted hers in the other thread. So I guess they looked at it there (if they have to look only for one, it's not such a hassle)
- Drawings aren't just judged by the "drawing style". It definitely is a part of it. But so is the idea, composition, where you choose to put in your shadow, what background you use, what style you use (black/white, colored, realistic, cell-shading etc.). I think they also judged the picture by originality - making something out of your mind or combining things vs. drawing something what gosho drew.
- I'm not sure why it should. You can spend 30h+ one one art. You can also spend 5min on one and make multiple pieces for that. You can't really see how much time someone took for it or not as a judge.
Also, I think it's harder to compare things when someone made multiple pictures and someone did just one. Dunno how they judged it.

Fairness:
I like how people throw around this word :x What is fairness? Can it be actually fair anyway?
First thing, the people that participated were of different age. Meaning someone wit 20 years had "more time" to practice in his life than someone with 13 years. But can you blame the 20 year old for that and give him -points because he's older? You wouldn't know how much that person actually draw in his life. So that 13 year old could have drawn for 1-2 years already while the 20 year old just started for 1 month.

Then there is time. Someone could have had less free time to draw something than the other one who had holidays or something.

I bought myself a tables, while someone else doesn't have it maybe. So, I may not use it because it wouldn't be fair? :P

Well, I think before you accuse them of unfairness, you should ask how they actually choose the winner etc. Because it's "not fair" for the judges either :x

Ps: You also entered after the deadline :V

while I wouldn't say fairness is for idiots, I will say that this was an art contest, and as such is inherently subjective. No matter how it ended, someone would have disagreed with the results.

congratulations for the winner^^Kleene I'm so glad that you won the 1st place ;)

every drawing were awesome,it must have been hard to choose between all of them... :-\

I just want to say the art isn't objective,it's just a matter of taste^^
and I have to admit  the winners were very original in their drawings,so yeah, they deserved to win...there's nothing unfair here ::)

Yes, I know I entered after the deadline (because I already knew I was not going to win)
The contest was about drawing good not the originality....

It was? Where was that said? And I don't want to be like that, but when you say it like that it sounds like the winners paintings wasn't any good. I didn't think that I would get a prize and I am shocked that I did so. And surely there was "better" submissions but I was not in charge of the judging and neither was you.
