I look forward to your tutorial *w*
Zomgz, OKIYA. Ahhh I remember back in the old days when you drank alcohol and people think you were cool. Then you started wearing pink aprons and cooking curry 24/7 while staring out the window mysteriously ;w;
I CAN SO SEE THE RESEMBLANCE OMG =v=. I picture Haibara as chibi Roman empire for some reason LOL. It will be so d'awww. Or maybe Gin ono
In my head Okiya's all like CURRYYYYYYY PASTAAAAAA

I'm not sure that I understand the tutorial snippets too well. Maybe some screenshot examples would be a good idea?

Re: sonoci's drawings and such
@kirite: It actually wasn't a new tutorial, it was an addition to the last one.
Haibara as the Roman Empire? ...*sparkle*
As for the tutorial snippets, I was thinking they'd be a little hard to get without pictures, but never fear! I've got some now.
(In the Color section)

For smaller areas like Conan’s eyes, his mouth and the sweatdrop he has that bleed into his face, you can use the deselect ‘brush’ tool and deselect what you don’t want to color.

However, for things such as Shinichi’s nose that bleed into larger areas (in this case, the background) there’s a different trick.

You can go to the linework layer, hold Control while using either the pen, curve or line tools to make these round dots appear and…

…temporarily move the line of his nose so you can select his face without worry. Once finished coloring areas like these, just move the line back to its original position.
You could also...
(In the Shading section)
Using my method of shading, the amount of shading covering the subject should range from 25% to almost 75%. Around 25% for more direct light like below

...and almost 75% (or even over) for when the light is dim or shining from behind like below

Hopefully this made more sense. :-X Apologies for not updating in a while either, as I was at a friend's house.
Moving on, I'm curious about something. It's been suggested that I do a tutorial on sketching and/or planning 4Comas, but the truth is it's kind of difficult to explain. So I was wondering if anybody knows a good way to, say, stream your computer screen so I could just draw something for example and you can watch if you desire. I think this is the best way to do a 'sketching' tutorial...for me anyway. :-\
I think I'll try to figure something else out, but I'm pretty confident in the streaming idea.

Re: sonoci's drawings and such
Oh so this was a tutorial for Paint Tool Sai. No wonder I got confused without pictures. lol My trial expired.... I've got to find a way to earn the $63 for the program... =_="

You don't need to stream just record your screen with something like camstudio http://camstudio.org/ and upload to youtube.

I never actually tried that before xD The teacher has become the taught! I believe I may add your quote to help others if you don't mind.Soreiyu wrote: Instead of moving the vector layer lineart for the nose you could just use the selection tool to draw a blue line before filling in the area selection.
I downloaded it and I'm going to try it out. If it works out well, there may be another 'tutorial' very soonSoreiyu wrote: You don't need to stream just record your screen with something like camstudio http://camstudio.org/ and upload to youtube.

Re: sonoci's drawings and such
I've only used it a few times. I prefer Camtasia Studio which is a program that's too expensive for me to afford. >_>
I never use the vector layer lines since it's too time consuming for me. You might know more about how to use them properly. I did make a video on them, but it sucks. lol You can hear my voice if you want.

Re: sonoci's drawings and such
Well there is also http://www.livestream.com/ The reason that I don't think it's a good idea is because people tend to do other things while streaming. It's hard to pay attention to what they are drawing when they keep chatting or watching youtube videos. >_>

Re: sonoci's drawings and such
I tried out the CamStudio thing and it worked at first, but later it gave my computer a seizure
Unrelated, my computer is basically sputtering up and dying...unfortunate as I had a drawing, comic idea and quite large project on it D: I'm just praying I can send some things to myself before it's too late. :C

What exactly is your computer doing? That would help a lot in determining the problem. Also, is it a desktop or laptop?

@Soreiyu: I hate replying after a really long time, but I didn't want to without something to contribute to the thread after my computer completely gave up on me. I will say that I was overjoyed when I saw your post: I thought I could maybe fix the problem. Unfortunately, my computer thought differently and just stopped right as I was replying D: Anyway, it should be back tomorrow.
On an art note, kirite inspired me to do something. Lower quality than normal since I (brace yourselves!) used a scanner, but it's alright.
Hope it can get a laugh out of somebody \o/
EDIT: I am also working on a 4koma tutorial! \o/ ...However, it's not your usual tutorial. I might post a preview picture later if I feel like it. The least I can say is that it'll at least be fun :B
