Vermouth’s relation to the Boss

Post by shocky2002 »

Okay, maybe my theory is too simple. But I believe that Vermouth is not blood related to Renya Karasuma the boss, simply because of racial difference. Renya is Japanese and Vermouth is indisputably full Caucasian. If you haven’t noticed, Gosho draws mixed-blood characters in a uniquely racially ambiguous way (just look at Shuuichi, Haibara, Sera), and Vermouth is not that.

Therefore I believe it is more likely that Vermouth is Renya’s wife, rather than daughter or niece.

If we are looking at the ethnic obstacle, she could also be his half-sister/niece from a non-japanese side (since Renya could be half-japanese). She could also be his non-japanese mother. There is also the option of being a step-daughter/sister/mother/niece or sister/mother/niece-in-law or even adoptive sister/daughter/mother/niece.
