What if akai shuichi was in the place of Conan in movie 6?

Let's say that instead of shinichi/Conan being in old time London while trapped in the cocoon, it was akai that took his place. Would akai clear the game/ find Jack the Ripper earlier, or would Conan have done better?

I don't think he could. They may be equals when it comes to deductions, but Conan comes up with better plans in the long run. I don't know if Akai would have did the trick at the end to survive the crashing train.
