File 1004, light pink answer. Let's see how this ends (since it says climax). Shinichi has something to say to the inspector...
Apparently we skip another day here again. I guess he can now use the antidote to turn into Shinichi again since it's been a good time longer than 8 hours. The remaining three have gathered and yep Shinichi is here. So now Masumi gets to hear about the way how Conan turns to Shinichi (medicine).
Interesting how Mineto and Riki seem kind of normal about this, and Keiko is like "we can try visiting Dekuri's grave another time!"
Hmm Keiko remembers something Dekuri said to him. Ahh yes this shows what was told earlier about Dekuri wanting his name now on the screen but because it wasn't he supposedly did a suicide. From his outlook it seems like he was living a poor life after their university days.
This is actually pretty nice. We get to see all 3 of them think about the day when the Crimson Shura Tengu preview was shown. This would probably work nicely in the anime since it hops to the past multiple times.
All 3 of them get a message on their phone, probably the detectives doing something... Hmm. Mineto claims he's going to the lobby's bathroom but leaves with a taxi to the Kiyomizu temple which is where Dekuri jumped from that Shinichi and the others were visiting in the first chapter. The stage is still filled with people so I assume it's a pretty popular tourist attraction that Gosho himself visited for the case.
Mineto calls Riki for sending a message to him to go there... In the message he said he's the one who killed the Nishiki and Ihaya. . . The message was sent from Dekuri's address to Mineto's phone. So uhh, hmm.
Now there's some kind of telepathic thing going on lol. No one else seems to notice this? Footprints appear out of nowhere on the floor and Mineto is backing up to fall down from the stage... Wtf. Now it seems like Agata grabs him and makes him fall down. People just laugh next to him rofl. Now Shinichi appears.
Yep... It is Agata. Now we get to the explanation of how the cipher was clued. Basically you move the four squares through all of these kanji...
Heiji and Masumi come in. It seems that Riki tried to frame Mineto's suicide with the ciphers. The funny part is that he assumed the ciphers wouldn't be figured out until the end. Now the killer claims he was cursed to do these murders... I've been wondering about the blood ceiling. Hmm.
Ahh. Lol. It was so simple. Nishiki's notes were used to hide the blood ceiling. But what about the second one with the tengus though? That was just moved a bit and it was outside.. The reserving part was actually something I was thinking about too, but I think he definitely prepared too far ahead. Although this definitely made his alibi stronger. The tengu which appeared in his room is explained now. I bet it's the flour thing.
Hmm oh yeah. There were no SFX machines there so it couldn't be. Apparently it's made with flash paper? I have to look that one up... Ahh that's definitely why there was glue on the ceiling.
So he didn't move it exactly, he removed a bigger bamboo fence from the top of the other to leave those marks. Apparently Masumi says they found the fence from another restaurant and it was hiding the murder weapon and raingear.
The appearing footprints were also magnetic notes that were covered with the floor-looking notes. Makes sense. The reason why only Mineto heard the telepathic talk was because of something colled a directional speaker. Is that really possible to direct speak that perfectly though. Need to check that up.
Lol. Agata tries to run for it but a bunch of school kids block his way. Let's see... Yep... That's a group of older class schoolers. I see this is most likely that embarassing thing which Shinichi asked the inspector to do at the end of last chapter. Agata falls on his knees crying... Ahh Heiji brings a good point about the lumps on their bodies. Apparently Keiko's lump was his inspiration for this but it was more or less just symbolistic.
So wait. They tried to steal all of the credit from Dekuri? Mineto seemed pretty regretting though. Hmm. Dekuri's name was to show in the center kanji between all the other names. So Agata's motive seems to fall to oblivion here.
The simple act of fixing the spacing with names and not spending money to add Dekuri's name caused this case to happen.
In the anime with Shinichi's voice "The lament of a murderer shaken within the Kiyomizu temple... While the autumn leaves surrounding the temple burned deep red... As if they were withering away..." Kind of brings some nostalgic feelings from earlier cases just imagining that. Anyway it kind of goes a full circle with the murderer getting caught at the same place where Dekuri fell. There's just the SFX of Agata crying echoing from the temple.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dgl8oIhZlAWell well well.. What to say... That was definitely a case. There are cases that show some potential to kind of inspire Gosho to write completely new things, but this one actually wasn't quite like that. This was different in the sense that it was a supernatural case but taken much further with the tricks. The ciphers, bumps on the corpses then the blood ceiling, tengu's footprints, then the tengu appearing itself and then the paid tengu guys, appearing footprints... If there's a DC case I want to see as a movie... Yeah, this is it. This would flow so nicely during those 2 hours. Gosho said he writes with the anime in mind which was especially noticeable in this. It was cool to see the culprit pull off tricks purely for symbolistic means even if it's never realistic in fiction.
Now we are done I assume and can take a deep breather from the tengu madness... Ran and Sonoko make their appearance. Sonoko seems kind of annoyed that Shinichi doesn't want to talk about the case, hmm. Oh yeah. Masumi's role in this case was very minimal but she gained info on the antidote atleast. I wonder where Mary is right now...
Shinichi is still extremely jealous about Okita it seems looking at his face when Ran talks about him.
Oh chit, Shinichi is being pretty straightforward here with Ran, asking about how she feels about his confession since she seems to be head over heels about Okita to him. Something grabs Shinichi, and.......
Ran grabs Shinichi and kisses him on the cheek which ends the chapter. The light pink answer is this.
