You say Rum used Momiji to try to lure Shinichi out of his den?
My dad’s a soldier blue I’ll be a soldier, too
When I grow older you will see me rescue you
I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along

Spoiler:
I don't think there's any indication to that he was the cause for Kudo Shinichi's involvement in the competition yet, however, considering Momiji relies on Iori's advise a lot, that is certainly a possibility.

Hyōe seems way too patient to be Rum—he knows Bourbon's NPA, yet is just sitting on that info? The odds of him actually being Rum, and sitting on this info to spring a trap on Team Conan and the NOCs seem pretty low to me—not impossible, but pretty low (if this actually happens, I won't be floored in shock). I'd think the impatient Rum would act on that info immediately.

As for Muga Vs. Rumi and Kanenori... Rumi has used her faux clumsiness to direct things, whereas Kanenori is taking the Bourbon approach. I don't recall the latter two bringing up time the way Muga has—so consistently over the course of just one file. They're certainly not as patient as Hyōe, but not to the point of bringing it up in conversation in a consistent manner.

Not completely related to anything, but I'm trying to locate an old post of mine (probably not too old. pretty sure it was written in the past 2 years), where I think I (jokingly) asked DCUniverseAficionado to let me know if years down the line younger/newer fans will show up who'll claim the Bourbon arc was good (and the stuff afterwards is bad). I just thought about that post cause I did notice a bunch of reddit posts in the past few months indeed claimed that the Bourbon arc was good and/or better than the current Rum arc, which I found kinda funny. (as to the reason that might be happening, I imagine it's cause said fans started reading the manga after the Bourbon stuff was over so they could just binge it through and skip over unimportant stuff so it went smoother for them without feeling the frustrations many have felt as they were following it as it was happening).

(As for my personal opinion on the matter, it's better to make that judgment after the Rum arc is over, but so far, personally, both of them feel equally bad for similar and also different reasons).

I do vaguely remember that—and I do agree that, with the benefit of the arc being complete, the tedium and impatience that are born from experiencing the arc while it was ongoing can be evaded, and, thus, the experience can be improved for those who find no value in what they deem "unimportant" content. Speaking of that...

...I take it they're both equally bad even with the "unimportant stuff" cut out, correct?

As for me... whereas I didn't get to experience the Bourbon arc as it came out, I have gotten to experience the Rum arc as it's come out. Five years on, and, honestly, I'm still not frustrated or bored with the arc—I've yet to feel the disappointment burnout that seems to come for some either after the Vermouth arc or over the course of the Bourbon arc and the Rum arc. I'm still invested in the characters, I'm still eager for the new plot/story developments, I'm still looking forward to what's to come, and I do feel that—when we finally reach the climax—I'll come out satisfied.

After the new spoilers in Discord, it is evident that Iori is out of the race.
Mostly Iori's established age, identity makes him out of the list and he never had shown any issues in his either eyes. So all in all Iori=Rum is dead and will remain so for the day till apocalypse.

Spoiler:
Indeed, the likelihood of Muga being Rum, imo, has dropped with this—and, also at this stage, I find it doubtful we're going to get some big twist on this backstory of his later. Though if this unlikely theory about Rum's identity actually does end up being correct, I suppose I've seen enough details to not be floored by such a twist.

Personally, if this story continues to have significance, down the line, I think it would be about Muga being another individual tied to Rum's crimes, rather than actually being Rum. In any case, if this backstory turns out to have greater significance—if Momiji and Muga are characters who have relevance beyond this romance subplot—I'm fine with it.

I mean, I thought it was strange that the Haneda connection wasn't mentioned, but...

You're going to have to link me to the real ones, then.

Spoiler:
Eh? I have no idea why Haneda was even brought up and in what context was he brought up since I can't really read and understand Japanese language that well, but look for yourself... was it about the mother of the brothers working for someone famous and was the housemaid of the famous Hanedas? And Heiji heard that from Iori?

Not exactly related to the current file and plot, but i think Tsutomu should also be out of the list of candidates for being RUM.

In the interview "Let's Talk with Gosho Aoyama Day 2019 + Short interview with Gosho [Vietnamese]"
(i used the google translation feature to try to understand this...)
https://kenhsinhvien.vn/topic/lets-talk-with-gosho-aoyama-day-2019-phong-van-ngan-voi-gosho-tieng-viet.688049/

There was a question asked about Mary and Tsutomu being in the same organization or not, and if Mary is confirmed to be MI6, then so is Tsutomu... the likelyhood for him being the 2nd in command of the B.O. is almost close to zero! ;D

Huh, I completely missed that.

Well, I was already doubtful about that theory, in any case—it being true is quite a longshot.

Speaking of missing... there are still a lot of chess pieces missing...and why would a software developed by Itakura even be dangerous?

And really in the Aoyama Gosho Let's Talk Day 2018, he even mentioned Chuukichi being dangerous? ::)
Q18: "Shogi now has 8 crowns instead of 7 crowns, but will this affect Chuukichi and Yumi?"
A: "Is that so? I see! Isn't he dangerous? It's Chuukichi... I'll have to add it! He gotta get that [crown], too! If they marry Yumi will enter the Akai family... Isn't he dangerous? Chuukichi, I mean!"
