When it's not correcting an already correct word...jimmy_kud0_tv2 wrote:I guess its because spell check won't catch them XD
I'm surprised Gosho would put in something like that.Spimer wrote:I've tried looking at it and if you look very carefully at the very bottom near the lower edge of the phone one can see the "Akai" kanji (or something similar) there plus a name.
Now that I think about it, I'm not surprised that Akai would show up on the form. It would advance the plot, and Gosho has been doing that consistently as far as the Akai family mysteries go, and especially Shuukichi.DCUniverseAficionado wrote:I'm surprised Gosho would put in something like that.Spimer wrote:I've tried looking at it and if you look very carefully at the very bottom near the lower edge of the phone one can see the "Akai" kanji (or something similar) there plus a name.

We'll have to wait to see if it'll be shown again—if so, it probably won't be from as far, and, thus, we may not get to see the good parts.
I can't actually see it that well, but if it does happen to be correct it has to be both kanji - " 赤井 "Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Now that I think about it, I'm not surprised that Akai would show up on the form. that could very well be how this case will tie up to the main story,... by Conan, at the end of this case, reading shuukichi's surname on the paper and getting his first official suspicion of shuukichi's identity.Spimer wrote:I've tried looking at it and if you look very carefully at the very bottom near the lower edge of the phone one can see the "Akai" kanji (or something similar) there plus a name.
The first blog's author thinks it says "X武": the X means that the author isn't sure what the first Kanji is.
The second kanji can be read in many ways such as "mu", "bu", "take" are some of them. But until we get a clearer shot of the form or someone manages to zoom into it in a manner that can be properly read.
So, in conclusion: it's possible that it says such but with such small writing it's hard to properly make out the kanji there. We can't confirm it 100% yet.
Not just suspicion—I don't think Shinichi/Conan would go, "Oh, his father's surname is 'Akai...' that's a strange coincidence..." if he saw something like that. Of course, we've never seen him think about Masumi's second brother.MeiTanteixX wrote:that could very well be how this case will tie up to the main story,... by Conan, at the end of this case, reading shuukichi's surname on the paper and getting his first official suspicion of shuukichi's identity.
I expected us to see this on, perhaps, the last panel of the last page of File 947 (assuming this won't be a four-file case), with Shinichi/Conan either seeing the form and seeing "Akai" on there, or thinking about it after seeing it in an earlier panel (without us seeing what he was looking at, in that earlier panel).Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Now that I think about it, I'm not surprised that Akai would show up on the form. Shouldn’t this be about the previously mentioned party thing?Spimer wrote:Translations:Spoiler:
