Strongly agreed. DC is defined by careful and painstaking (if not always methodical) deduction, while Lupin is made enjoyable by complete lack of self-seriousness and the breezy action. Lupin vs. Conan wasn't really anything at all.

That was pretty much a given from the get go since it was the annual Lupin III special.  They do a new Lupin every year so it was simply a special treat to toss Conan characters in there.  It was always going to be more Lupin-based.

But it's still kind of off.  It was supposed to be a versus situation.  It really wasn't, is all I'm saying and if they were to do another special with Lupin and Conan and they want it to be a versus situation, I want to see it as a versus situation.  It didn't feel that way to me.  The Lupin characters having more focus has nothing to do with it.

If that's the case, then instead of doing a Lupin vs Conan set up, it should be Lupin vs Kid and Conan trying to deduct to stop them.  That makes more sense to do for a special, imo.

as Jd pointed out Kid vs. Lupin would be a joke (largely because Lupin has his awesome friends and Kid has an old man who may or may not disguise as him and do little else in Conan canon)

Aw I think they could match wits evenly.  Though i still have visions of Zenigata using The Kaito Kid Task Force against Lupin and Kid showing up to cheer Nakamori on.

Genta = Fred
Mitsuhiko = Shaggy
Conan = Velma (come on, solves everything, glasses...)
Ai = Scooby ( >:D)

Conan: Doesn't exist
