i'm watching DC for a while now(somehere around episode 150 by now) and i've noticed that as the serie goes on and on the more dumber and idiotic are the motives the culprits have for killing someone and i think it's really sad that such a good anime get so low although shinichi\conan's excellent deduction ability. are the stories get any better later on or am i right and the motives just continue to get worse and worse?

Let me guess, you've just watched episode 135 recently.

To answer your question, most motives in the AOs (fillers) suck, yes. Those in the manga based episodes are however generally a bit more believable.

well in my opinion, the series maintains a high level of consistency until its 340s-350s, with great cases, occasional masterpieces such as 304 and a solid bo plot. afterwards, the series declines noticeably in all aspects, but not too much and stays more or less the same way until the 600s. (fillers also become a pain in the arsh). so yeah, i'd say things do get better from where you are at the moment. keep watching, there are a lot of great episodes ahead of you, just don't expect dc to maintain its high standards during its latter half.  :)

If it's about motives for murder:
There aren't many "good" reasons to murder someone (in the sense where you'd say: "If that happened to me, maybe I'd kill that guy too D:")
That's why fillers get the "bad reasons" like "That guy laughed at me! He needs to die!"

Otherwise, the series, which is really long, would repeat the motives too fast over and over, which would end up boring.
But don't worry, there are also fillers that have "good" motives for murder.

You think non plot are better than plot, whatever.

Since plot episodes represent barely anything, they have very little influence on how much I appreciate a span of 100 episodes. As it is, the 600 have had better fillers than both the 400s and the 500s which is one of the reasons why they are better. That may be subject to change in the futur since we still have 70 episodes to go before the 600s are over. They're still behind the first 99 episodes as well as the 100s, 200s, 300s though.

The culprit stabbed her best friend to death in the school's restroom then returned to the classroom as if nothing happened (except for all the bloodstains on her clothes). The reason? She made a negative comment on her blog.

They were aged 7~8 by the way...
