The songs are the same. The song playing in the confession scene is the Teitan Elementary School theme song... just in a different version! XD

There are many appearances in the anime that the Teitan E. theme plays in the background. For instance, when Shiratori first found out that the Sakura girl was actually Kobayashi.

Slider, I think it's high time you make a list of when each BGM theme/sample first appeared. Pretty sure that's something that no one's ever done (cataloging them all by episode, I mean).

You could always make a topic and solicit help on a per-song basis. Just throwin' out ideas. You're one of the few Conan BGM authorities around as far as I can tell.
