What exactly where you hoping for?

If it is a confrontation with the BO, a secret, progression in the storyline or anything similar - anything that could influence the canon for example - I will predict it will not happen in the next 11 OVAs either.

I wouldn't care if it was BO and new it wouldn't be about them. What i was hoping for was something less boring than the "Miracle of Life" science class video.

Well, I didn't think it was boring. Most other viewers also didn't seem to think so. If it wasn't interesting to you, that is unfortunate, but not the OVAs vault.

Well, 1I didn't think it was boring.2Most other viewers also didn't seem to think so. 3If it wasn't interesting to you, that is unfortunate, but not the OVAs 4vault.

I've got a crack theory that can at least take care of ONE of the coincidences...

Ai's parents are not actually dead, they just faked their deaths and escaped. Grace Aihara is their child, which is why she looks exactly like Ai, but then the BO caught on and that's why she vanished and no one knows where she is, they're in hiding.

Let's not turn this into a personal attack. We can criticize the OVA whichever way we want, but I for one enjoyed Ayumi's hilarious makeup, Mitsuhiko's crack theory, and of course, the Aicandy.

This OVA is important because the Ai/Ayumi doujin goodness is now my new desktop wallpaper! Your arguments are all invalid.

I liked that Ova too. Not my favourite, but enjoyable.

I didn't mind the make-up thing either. Since that's what a 7 year old like Ayumi would want to try out XD And the way she applied her own make-up at first is also sooo true XD
But make-up in an anime looks usually awful anyway D: You can't draw it without it looking too strange since you use cell shading

I'm also not wondering about the ai fanservice. Considering everyone seems to turn into a loli because of haibara anyway, this kind of fanservice was to be expected someday :p

I would say the way she applied her first make-up was pretty good. I mean, comparatively.
At least half of it didn't end up on her clothes, the table or on the floor like it often happens when children try it out without supervision.
And... at least she managed to make perfect circles which actually had even the same size. And even though she had too much lipstick she actually managed to apply it very accurate (and symmetrical!) as well.

Again, it was overall, horrible. I'll say this is as many times as necessary

Everything was coincidental, predictable, and Haibara was horribly OOC (until the very end, which was enjoyable). Mitsu's getting Haibara's general situation right was pretty funny though, despite him being about 7-8 years off on Haibara's actual age.

Basically this was riding on the awesomeness of Haibara and the random Okiya cameos, neither of which saved it. It was pretty boring and that last picture... I just wish it was the grown up versions of them from OVA 9... that would have been better... As it is... it was totally a fanservice lolicon thing...

The only good ones in my mind were 1 and 9 and that is because I think someone was smoking something when writing them, and that highness made the characters act in the same way.

Oh and @Kleene the make up thing gave me horrible flashbacks of OHSHC....

Also, I still say a cop praising kids for doing something like that is just so very stupid...
