Is the Glass/Grass thing on purpose or...?

Uh, anyway, I have this feeling I shouldn't have liked this episode. But I love this ridiculous tennis braille. Something about it is just really awesome. Minerva Glass is surprisingly memorable and the cry for help for Holmes could have been stupid but worked really well.

The soundtrack is also very interesting. They basically completely avoided the older soundtrack, but I actually kinda liked it. The music was surprisingly good so, at least for now, it works (but the use of Movie 14's soundtrack was weird. They at least used some of the only good songs from it but it's odd how they took so long to use it).

Hope for Gin seeing the scene where Conan claimed himself as Holmes' Apprentice out loud right in front of the audience since Gin once said "One who you would wish only existed in novels, a great detective like Sherlock Holmes" in Episode 581.

Gin had been went to Mouri Detective Agency once and know that Conan and Kogoro had relationship, then Gin will come and eliminate Conan to prevent BO for being destroyed by someone related to Holmes.

Vodka do watch a video of the incident with Scar Akai in bank robbery case from TV news, what if Wimbledon will be broadcasted on the news with this scene.

The BGM was all fresh (to me) and I enjoyed it. This ep does tend to drag on a little though, given the copious amount of inner thoughts. Not too bad when compared to manga.

I get that they want to avoid speaking English as much as possible so as not to bore the Japanese viewers, but the commentators speaking Japanese?

The soundtrack was alright, I was just annoyed by one track which they used like 3 times.

the grass queen is on purpose IMO.. this may refer to lawn tennis where they are playing in grass court..
but it may also be a pun to the pronunciation of glass in nihonggo which is grass..

this is the best episode for me of the entire London case series..

way way much better than in the manga..

the time when Conan yelled "I'm Holmes' apprentice!!" is so epic I had goosebumps..

I can't wait for the conclusion next episode..

Tennis braille is very silly and Conan's analyzing of it was padded out the back end, but still pretty cool.

I don't get what would be so hard in finding the guy, he'd be the only one holding a camera frontwards towards the stands instead of at an angel, AND NOT MOVING IT.

I think your working on the wrong assumption Gin would remember Conan at all or that Vodka is is useful... >_____>;;;

Gin would be like, "Hmm... That was weird... back to watching Gilmore girls *click*"

Conan basically embarrassed himself in front of the whole world when he disrupted that Wimbledon game. Good job, Conan!

And -- am I the only one who noticed that the British characters' way of speaking became slower for each episode?

Good point!  That would be pretty easy to spot.

For me, this ep was just too far out there.  Tennis braille?  How does Conan know English braille anyway?!?  Also, if Ms. Glass is that good, she could just dance back and forth around a deuce forever, giving Conan as much time as he needed.  Finally, my biggest gripe about this episode is how Minerva's thoughts are in Japanese.  I know it makes it more accessible for their intended audience, but when people don't think in their native language, it just pulls me right out of the story.

I did start laughing whenever it voiced her thoughts and they were in Japanese, though I haven't successfully learned a second language, I imagine thoughts in my head would remain in English.  But like it was said, people might complain that they were wanting to watch Conan, not read it.=p

Yeah.  That, and at least one target demographic is younger kids, and they'd be too young to be able to read all that text.  I understand why they did it, but it's still jarring when I see it.

Their willingness to revert to Japanese for Minerva and the criminal's thinking has been one of my few gripes with how they've handled the case. I suppose I just wish they had made it as authentic to the setting and characters as possible.

Also: I'm fairly certain this episode has more thinking than any other single case of similar length in history.

also I'd expect more people taking photos and videos all over the stadium, making it more difficult to spot Hades.
has anyone seen the tv viewing rates for the london series? AFAIK the first episode, which adapted all the english dialogue from the original, got one of the lowest rates in recent years... Gurasu Cooto Kuiin speaking nihongo could at least have improved this.
