Now maybe it's just me...but am I the only one who feels like we missed something? I mean we go from crying Ran to blushing Ran with basically no explanation. What the hell? I assume they purposely avoided showing what happened between those two events but it way it was done just felt odd.
I love having Ran and Kogoro run around town looking for clues. Not sure why though.
Really like the Greek Mythology naming of the characters. Wonder who the mysterious lady is supposed to be though. Maybe Hades' partner survived and wants to stop him? I dunno, I hope it's lolBourbon but I really doubt it.
The letters are TNA (and in that order!)...and then S...yeah. Most unintentionally hilarious use of letters since the 3Ks case. :P Well to avoid one joke in order to use another

Edit: Well, that was quick.

The case finally picks up after an episode of romance and drama, it's a welcome change.
The animation was the best I've seen for this arc so far. It was rather fluid and the faces of the characters weren't completely ruined like it happened before.
They should have emphasized Shinichi's pain a little bit more when he turned back into Conan, but at least we heard a scream and we can assume he changed while Ran was talking with Minerva, so I guess it's ok.
Was that a remix of the "hmmmmmmmmm" theme when Apollo was talking about Minerva and Ares ? I thought it was quite nice.
For the anime-only people :
9.4% in the Kantô region for this episode (+0.8% compared to 617).

the differences I can think of this episode from manga are...
*the censorship and they show here when Shinichi changes back to Conan..
the modified "hmmmmm" theme is awesome..
the reaction of Ran and Shinichi after what happened to their meeting is priceless...
the only funny thing about this episode is this..
Who the hell is that Caroll in the article??

Apparently a copy-and-paste job from the interpol website:

Only a handful of Japanese viewers will care what the English means, so this a great way to fill in huge chunk of space.

GinRei and I looked into it a few days ago after having a good laugh as to the actual contents. That one is almost workable, but the one they used for the other is just ridiculously amazing:

That's hilarious! I had noticed that the case details had absolutely nothing to do with is background story, but I had no idea they had just plagiarized it.
Hmm.. those letters can also be arranged to spell SANTA... Just sayin'...

Can also spell Antas. Therefore, they better check the Spanish emissary for bombs.

well he IS the best in the world at what he does.
oh and I get to discuss this episode er...
this was just good. Not great, not bad...just good. Only elevated above that because of some amusing parts like the simultaneous shh and the cool idea that Minerva apparently knows she will die either way...and also I remembered why I liked Ran and Kogoro walking around searching for things. Throughout this case it has really felt like Ran, Kogoro and Agasa are sort of Conan's (and also Shinichi in an odd way) assistants or...something. I just like how Ran and Kogoro are taking Conan fairly seriously compared to the past or even recently and that they are acting more as a team instead of just unintentionally helping each other. It's really refreshing actually.
Edit: Oh and Hades is awesome. Specifically his voice actor, whoever voices him is awesome.
also, can anyone confirm if the odd new music was from Movie 15? Because that was actually ok I think.
