The case is good so far and I love Conan's reactions to going to London. But I hope this hyped Shinichi stuff is more than that because that was just weak.

He's a Holmes freak, his reaction seems rather acceptable to me.  He has gone all over the world before with his parents apprently except the one place he really wanted too, so him doing a little victory dance never suprised me.  What did suprise me was my native language not being the murder victim on this string of episodes, even if most of the English was...well what you would expect from a crummy dub lol, though the evil dudes accent was pretty good.

Her English was the most natural-sounding accent in the entire episode, IMO.

So far this episode is interesting. I thought Shinichi's reaction to going to England was actually very in-character. The guy is an extreme Holmes fan to the point that he only remembers his Birthday because the date was a very significant one in the Holmes universe. And let's not forget his babbling in the first episode of the entire series. He's obviously an extreme Holmes fan, and his reaction doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The bits where Conan was squeeing to Agasa  and Haibara about what he wanted to do there were great.

Looks like Shinichi's terrible job of hiding that he's not actually in England is what's gonna screw him over. They might as well put up in a giant neon sign saying, "HE'S GONNA USE THE OTHER PILL ASAP" when Haibara was explaining to him what a bad idea it would be to use that other pill~

It's actually a cool name. Redundantly catchy. SOMEONE SHOULD PICK IT UP, I SAY~!

The case so far looks interesting. Don't really have any theories as to what's going on just yet. Looking forward to the rest of it!!

No, it wasn't.
The Hades guy's accent was probably the best if I think about it, it wasn't all stumbling like Apollo's and the accent was quite accurate to what was probably intended...

A few things bugged me about this episode. Actually, so much so I had to pause the video a few times.

The English is still kind of hard to listen to, and a few questions begin to arise that weren't answered... lots of them...

Why was Diana there? She might as well have a huge sign that reads "I just exist to allow the London Trip to be possible, I will likely be heavily unimportant or a secret murderer."

Then Conan mentions he's never been to London...

...

WHY!? WHY... Why? Just why? How is it that Shinichi, huge Holmes freak, NEVER went to London? His dad never took him? Why? Why wouldn't Shinichi at one point in his life been like, "Hey, Father who is a mystery novelist and huge fan of Holmes as well, how about we spend one of our seemingly many vacations at the place that might as well be our Graceland?"

Just why? Why has he been to lots of places, BUT THE MOST LOGICAL PLACE TO GO!?

It almost screams "Yeah, it doesn't make sense, but we wanted him to be hyped about it, so yeah."

Second rant...

The new pills... Why? How? Huh!?

Okay, based on just what she said, The pills no longer seem to last a shorter amount of time the more they are used, nope. They last 24 period. Did I miss something? I mean I can't find any article about on hand, so I'm going from memory. And how is that not essentially a cure? She makes no mention of danger, so using it must be realistically safe.

If all it does is give you cold symptoms and Haibara can say for sure that both times he uses it it will last 24 hours, Isn't this a major advancement?

Again, it seems to exist only to get them to London over the massive gaps of bigger questions that would be asked otherwise.

Okay, so those were some kinda issues I had with it, as soon as I read the letter I knew Big Ben was involved. Clocks, and the two swords are obviously the hands of a clock, but that's not a bad thing, and I still haven't really figured out the puzzle.

So besides that, I liked this episode, well worth the leaps over logic, but still a bit rant worthy XP

@mead: It's not given that the Kudos where traveling around. Shinichi was in NY because his parents are living there, so that was kinda a trip "to his home".
Shinichi also lives alone and is kinda proud not to ask for favours. So he probably never asked and they never went outside of japan/NY for a vacation.
