New here and question related to DC

Hello everyone!

My name is Guillem and I'm from Spain.
First of all I would like to thank everyone who makes all this thing related to Conan possible, so thank you soo much!  ;D

I've been reading here in the forums some things that I don't understand, I'll say only one thing to not to talk about spoilers.

Spoiler:

I've seen people writing about Sera Masumi,
I didn't read anything about it just enough to see that it's a new character (maybe important).

The main question that I have is that I've been watching the Anime serie instead of Manga, so I'm a little confused now, perhaps the Manga is more recent than the Anime, so that's why I didn't heared about that name before.

I would like to ask if anyone knows how are things now, I mean, if there is a lot of difference between Manga and the Anime or in the Anime they just publish more episodes non related to DC main history.

I stoped reading the manga at the Volume 62 so I'm not sure if I should continue reading or watching the Anime episodes. I don't know if it's possible to be watching the manga and the anime at the same time, so perhaps the manga will spoil some anime episodes...

I hope someone can clarify me these things.

Sera Masumi is a character recently introduced in the manga, yes.

You could potentially watch the anime and read the manga at the same time, but you wouldn't be totally caught up on the manga if you didn't go past Episode XXX or whatever of the anime that you're currently at.  In other words, the manga is waaay ahead of the anime.

The manga is written before the anime, so usually whatever you see in the anime has already happened 9-12 months ago in the manga (that being applied only for the manga based cases). The anime also has AO (anime originals) episodes, so you wouldn't find their counter cases in the manga, but those AO episodes don't affect the story in any way and they are simply fillers created by the anime team.

If you afraid to get spoiled.. then you can continue watching anime only and dont read the manga....


there is only 1 chapter that been skipped but that is not really importance...

just take the best path for you. if you want to enjoy the story in animated video then wait for the anime....

but if you want to keep updated with DC story then you can read the manga.

even if you knew who done it or what the basic trick, seeing the story in animated allways gave another experience, so you will still can enjoy the episode. beside the average time between a manga out with the anime episode is 9-10 month so... you should already forgot the minor detail of that manga!!!
