I do find it frustrating that they've taken the blood element so seriously, in terms of censorship. DC is about detail. Normally, when people watch cartoons or anime, they don't consider the little things, but with DC, it's important to consider all facts and details portrayed. The color and texture of the blood is important. If it's dark, it means that it has dried. If it's red and lustrous, then the murder happened recently, you know? Time of death can be roughly calculated upon first sight.

If a guy slits his wrists and dumps them in a bathtub, I want to see red/pink water. That way, I'd know the guy is still pumping blood and not asphalt or soot.

+1
I was so upset when they showed that guy's wrist. Conan said it wasn't bleeding as much as he'd thought it would have, but even so if they hadn't actually stated that the guy had slit his wrists I don't think most people would've understood what was happening.

I agree. If there isn't that much blood you would assume the person was still alive. I have always wondered why the decapitation in the first episode had so little blood, if I hadn't read the manga I would have never known that the person had been decapitated.

Wow... that blood...it... It looks like blood!  :o Whoa I kinda didn't recognize it there for a second.  ::)
(I really didn't mind the dark red color they had been going with... but seriously? Gray? I need a screen shot of proof right now! I'm not in the 600s yet so...)

please stop centering your text, there's no reason to and it makes reading it somewhat unpleasant.

The best is red or light red, but in a kids show, that's too much to ask. Dark red is fine, it still seems realistic. Black is a bit stupid and gray is really stupid.

If you're bleeding a light red blood, I think you might be anemic.

I think the last kids show I saw that showed normal colored blood was Digimon of all things... DC has been around far longer. It's just plain silly for them to make such a change now. I mean most of the people who watch it are adults now anyway. >_>

It's the current trend. I also read a lot of people complaining because of censorship in DB Kai compared to DBZ, things have changed since the 90s.

Did they only use the gray blood in one episode? Was it an AO? Since I have not been watching, I'm curious on what it looks like.

I can't actually remember if this is the first time the gray blood's been used (I tend to forget due to all the bloody anime and shows I've watched) but the recent episode it was used it was manga based.
