And then there was the finishing touch by Ayumi, that she shouldn't run away <3
That further my theory that Ai hates Conan. I'm pretty sure Conan has been telling her the same exact then, yet Ayumi says it once and then she is convinced!

Depends what you mean by 'hate'. If it's full-blown 'hate' I'd have to disagree, but if it were a doubtful/annoyed 'hate' I'd see where you're coming from.
Yeah more of an annoyed "hate". I don't know Haibara's attitude with Conan gives me this impression that they aren't really friends or at least she doesn't see him as a friend  :-\

Actually, there was no picking of any lock, originally, Heiji made sure no the door was locked before they left to the party

@Wakari: Thing is I'm not sure which part it was that I didn't like. To be frank, the beginning was actually kinda bleh on its own  :-X

This is a misconception due to a bad translation

I thought of a favorite scene! (a specific one) Surprisingly, it's from an AO.

From 357, when Ran begins to tell the culprit what had actually been going on. I'm not sure what, but the way things had lined up and the way the situation unfolded...it just got to me. The first time I saw it, I was sniffling and holding it back when one line finally sent me into a bawl:
Spoiler:
*as the boyfriend and girlfriend from years back is on screen waving happily while he's getting on a train*
Ran: Her boyfriend went to the mountains that day like he usually did. He said he'd be back (on a specific date). She (the victim) would be waiting with a dinner for him. ...There was an avalanche at the mountain.
His body was never found.

My god, I'll never forget that part. :'C

Oh, thanks!!
I had always wondered why the Anime had taken a disparate turn away from the Manga, at that particular scene........
Now that you have mentioned it, at which file exactly did the DCTP team started taking responsibility for the manga files? Which was the first volume that DCTP translated?
And for that matter, DCTP never went back and resubbed badly tranlated manga, unlike the anime, right?

Well, I did say that my most fav was New York Case in its wholeness. The same applied to the least fav.

EDIT: Wakarimashita beat me to it  :-X

And I even added more specific scenes after that.  :|
But sure, I'll always be pleased to explain.  ::)

@JohnTitor: Oh, I think you explained it perfectly fine, it was me they were talking to (at least that's what I'm assuming)

It's always better to clarify.  8-)

Oh, and one more favorite scene : where Night Baron pushed Conan to fall from the balcony of hotel something in volume 8.

Yeah not as a friend...but as a LOVER

:P

My favorite scene/episode would probably be the one when the detective boys are at the soccer game, and when Ai says she's 81 years old.  Just a classic, and the first few episodes with Ai are pure awesome-sauce.

My least favorite would have to be the whole "The Boss's phone number" arc, simply because they really could of have made a much better plot-related arc and it ended up nowhere, with Conan getting the # and not doing anything.

to be fair, that was blatantly supposed to be kind of a break from the plot after the Vermouth arc, so I get why Gosho did that kind of plot at the time, and it'll likely be important later

Nice way to end a discussion...

Well, you don't really explain why it was "unnecessary" :p

Because Ran is always unnecessary. :P

(it's a joke, I like Ran)

That's almost certainly 1Kaito's real reason, though. I haven't decided whether dilbert is merely trying a more sophisticated rationalization for the same reason or is making an honest conclusion jump about Aoyama being a predictable hero-is-always-right-about-the-long-term-plot-points writer, which Ran's involvement in 345 does indeed undercut.

later as in never because DC will never get that far plot-wise :( We'll just keep seeing Okiya's and Eisukes until the end of time

2017 isn't THAT far away

but seriously, I will go insane if Gosho does such loooooong term focus on a mystery character again (...that isn't Anokata obviously)
