This is really growing into a monster... :(
@ Nyarl, Wakarimashita, and everyone else who is painstakingly trying to defend the honour of 345: no matter how much you are going to explain and dissect the material for all those scornful doryphores, they are always going to deprive the entire episode of its merit; it is useless trying to reason the validity of the episode to them, because they're going to rationalise it otherwise..
This is something that I realised pages ago, so I'm simply advising you to save yourselves the trouble...

Episode 345 was good, don't get me wrong, I just have a problem with that one scene. I think it could have been made/handled much better.

It ceases to be a matter of an opinion when one tries to make an argument out of it without any backup for it, other than that pure, unmitigated "opinion". As it has been observed, numerous of the questions 1Kaito had proposed about matters that "didn't make sense" have already been answered by members with whom I share fairly agreeable ideas; more importantly, many of those answers were directly elicited from episodes that either followed or preceded the "Two Mysteries Night of the Full Moon"—so it is, to a degree, safe to state that there is valid support to the provided explanations that members like 1Kaito have so unrelentingly revoked.
I've had a very fruitlessly extended conversation with 1Kaito several pages ago, and I'm not willing repeat that experience, since it would never beget any productive or fertile resolution; it would be sheer beating about the bush.
The reason I had abandoned the thread earlier was because I didn't want it to get too personal. And I'm not about to start that again, or am I?
But then again, a major theme of this thread is scenes you hate about the series; one needs no reason to justify such, since it is a matter of personal preference. Trying, however, to dismerit the episode because of misconception, misinterpretation, or sincere lack of attention to details, should be taken up to a different thread, not here.

I do realize that perfect writing would have been Calvados killing Ran violently (he could have used a Death Note !) while Conan saves Ai and kisses her. They then both grow back up to their old-serves thanks to the power of love.  ;D

@Nyarl:
~She heard gunmen, it's why she left the trunk. She's banking their stupid.

~When you're apparently a star sniper, the shock shouldn't last the time it took her to reach Ai and not being able to shoot her through that whole sequence is stupid.

~"Nitpicking" is a comment you only add because you're lacking a real one. The thread is half "least favorite scenes" so nitpicking is kinda the point. And also, this means complaining about the anime version is valid too.

~Wasting more time so you can plan a super jump? Right nothing wrong there. Also if she had the "situational awareness" then she should have known which direction was safe.

~I think it's been well established their reactions are too inappropriate to gauge how fast she was moving.

~Because her and a little girl could be killed, but hey as long as it looks cool... or doesn't.

~Well given how close everyone was "with emotion" and that Verm too be so invested in them to see the shot girl move from one side to another (but you could give that to warning shots) should be enough and even then keeping the girl from getting away doesn't much help her from not being dead.

~Except it isn't, since that was the only case of me mentioning him and that was just that more time should have been used for this which is the fault of several people, but you couldn't think of anything else to say so...

@AbEgho: It's a discussion board, discuss or don't.

I can't think of a more convoluted plot, or a better scene than that  :P

Hah? Conan will kiss Ai? Haha! :D
Conan don't have any romantic feelings towards Ai,just like Kaito and Akako...
And...Detective Conan is not a magical series that with just one kiss...the problems solve...
I also thought of the same idea before...but with other person..
U.U" -well,its just my opinion...^.^v

death note was/is atrocious. everything that you can say about convoluted and unrealistic plots applies 10x to it. and that is true of BOTH ports, not just the second.

the music was great though.
Detective Movies Contest 2013: Information Thread  Current Faceoff

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

What was so unrealistic about it? You know, besides the obvious.

And you may think the show is bad but you have to admit Light and L were better than Shinichi.
