Seeing something 'magical girl' is...just kind of weird. The best comparison I can give is the dancing in OP 30. If not for the Detective Conan banners at the side, you wouldn't know what you were watching if you just saw the dance.

though I said it was like something out of a magical girl show, it's not inherently "magical girl-esque" or anything. The whole "person's body is naked and featureless as they float in a void of indeterminate stuff" thing has been done in a lot of anime, magical girl shows are just what I thought of first.

Basically I just don't see the deal about the OP/ED sequences, as effectively it's a flesh-colored mannequin with Ran's head on it (you've probably even seen a more detailed mannequin in a clothing store ). The keyhole thing though is clearly fanservice, as she's blushing about the fact that she's only wearing one piece of clothing / covering herself and the idea is obviously solely for fanservice.

Oh, yeah, it's not a deal. It's only been weird to me. I personally don't mind it all that much...'specially since it's in the older episodes I rarely watch as I've seen them so many times xD

The keyhole was a definite fanservice though xD Funny thing is...it's one of the only ones that actually makes sense as a keyhole. I mean the others are posing/doing something that seems to imply they know someone's looking and they're looking their best.

I remember there was this one episode in the anime where Ran, pardon my language, dressed really sluttily.  It was within the first 100 episodes...I can't really remember, but it had to do with apartment rooms, and I believe the culprit was some famous actor?

Dunno, something that was on my mind when I read this thread.  And yeah, that keyhole + the destiny opening is really unnecessary.
