Also, I think Knightus has noted that in the manga there ha never been a repetition of holidays (Valentine's day, etc.), which also suggest that the story wants to give an illusion to some extent staying in the boundaries of a year.

you shouldn't worry about time... alone the cases with Eisuke should happen within more than a year... case with sawhead (nailsnake) after newyears, disappearance of eisuke before christmas (clash of red and black)  ...
