I don't know anything about this since I barely watch the anime :-X
But I did notice that Kogorou's voice actor changed, sis and I almost laughed to death when we heard the new one ^^''

Yep. The last three movies had respectively 52, 70 and 66 tracks, that's more than the other 11 which generally had between 30 and 45 tracks (the first one only had 17). And obviously, more tracks generally means they're shorter and crappier. Movie 12 is an exception because of the classic music which is beautiful, but the other two soundtracks are very average.

there are a couple original tracks from movie 12 that i like. in particular, the 'suspicion track' that can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM4DevEI_GY&t=6m26s (don't remember quite where it is in the movie).

Like most of you, I miss the old style. Don't like those sharp, pointy noses. I got used to the old theme music as well. But then, I'm Old School.

Not sure about that. "Gi n" (銀) means "silver", and "Giniro" (銀色) means "silver-colored" in Japanese.

The kanji for Mitsuhiko (光彦) basically means "Son of Light": (光) being light, and (彦) being a modern ending for a male's name.

What they need to do with One Piece is just go back to the way it was before. Without all the boats and nautical adventuring from its 11th movie, it just isn't the same...

Yes, One Piece should go back to the way it once was.

A valid question indeed!
I think it was when Conan decided he wanted to be the pirate king.
