my answer to that question is no, no I would not. :P
DB cases every episode, but with Conan and Ai acting like everyone else.

Given the settings - shrinking=losing your memory - this can't even have Ai in it since the way she got to Conan without her memories would be a major plot hole.

According to both Viz Media's translation of the manga and FUNimation's dub of the anime, Conan was SIXteen years old before he got de-aged, and SIX years old after the de-aging.

This is exactly what I was talking about!

As for the Ai plothole, it's a spinoff series, so conan does NOT have to have met her the way he did in the manga/anime.

*easy bashing*

If Viz Media and Funimation both say he's 16. Then he's obviously 17.

*easy bashing*

To each their own ^_^.

If this spin-off series was ever made, It would instantly become my #1 fave show of all time :).

Especially if Conan ended up going to pre-school/kindergarten and/or daycare instead of first grade :D.

Why would you not watch the show?

Do you not love non-violent anime shows made for 6-8 year olds or younger? lol.

Ok, so let me analyze this. You don't really want it to have anything to do with Detective Conan other than having the characters as little kids going to pre-school, and you want the characters to act like normal kids.

Well, if such spin-off would be ever made, Dragon Ball GT can finally get wiped out of the record book for the "worst spin-off series ever created"

Hey you know what would be great guys! If Takagi was actually an alien who tried to take over the world and was stopped by Gundams lead by Kogoro!

What? Don't you like Gundam? >:(

As long as the mysteries were decent, sure, I'd watch it.

Let me try and settle this argument once and for all.  There is no possible way Conan nor Ai really know how physically old they are after being shrunk.  The only way we know our age is by counting how many years it has been since our birth.  Because they were shrunk, that type of measurement no longer applies.  All they can do is look at themselves and make an educated guess.  Sure, they could be six.  They could be seven.  Heck, they could be small eight year-olds for all they know.  The only information they have to go on is that they're smaller.  Everything else is merely guesswork.

So, you're both right!
