Openings and "episode previews"

This is kind of an odd question. At the start of every TV episode is a preview, which ends in the show tagline, "...his name is Detective Conan!". But the start of each preview is a phrase that changes every time the OP song does, and is usually related to the song in some way.

So my question is, has anyone made a list of the phrases and how they relate to the OP lyrics?

OP 2 : As time goes on, the number of difficult cases will increase.
OP 3 : A ticking second hand, a streaking comet, the dry soul of modern society. Conan's deductive reasoning soothes the soul.

OP 5 : Alibis, codes, tricks, deals. The Mysterious BO.
OP 6 : Perceived in a flash, once it starts rolling it won't stop / A great detective can understand anything as long as he never gives up. / As time goes by, the cases get more and more difficult.
OP 7 : There is no shape to flowing water. The blowing winds can't even be seen. No matter what the case is, the deductions are free.

O9 : Reasoning and hints are interlinked, allowing us to understand a case's mystery

OP 19 has something silly and not worth translating in every episode it's used IIRC

OP8's translations are both wrong :E

From memory, I believe it is "A strong heart holds reasoning power. A strong rhythm that provides essence!"

Notably, the words "power" and "rhythm" are said in English, so not having them in the translation automatically points to something not being quite right.

"Lying in a strong heart is the power of deduction. Stepping into the truth with a sharp rhythm!" is the better translation.

Sometimes the English words in Japanese do not really make any sense in the straight-translated lines, which leaves it at the translator's discretion. This leads to some lines being reworked to accommodate them. If the editor does not recognize the English words being said (the pronunciations are suspect more often than not, let us be honest) those English words can find their way out the door right then and there in favor of a version of the line that may read better (even if it doesn't really reflect the original meaning; it's a balancing act, which was once much more difficult due to the scarcity of translators willing to work on Conan back in the day). Beyond that, because of how flexible the OP lines are and that they are essentially without any real context, a number of different translations will arise from them. Occasionally they are simplified and less literal (sometimes exempting the English words altogether, in instances where they just don't mean what the Japanese intend for them to mean as far as how English speakers will interpret them), but it's all on how the translator decides to approach it.
