I'm rereading the early 30's volumes and I noticed that plot was suddenly moving at a rapid pace coming up to the confrontation where Vermouth turned out to be Araide... then it toodled along for a bit... then Kir shot Akai, and there was a lot of plot for a while leading after that... but it's been limping along ever since, and seems to have actually died lately. C'mon, Aoyama, stop teasing us ~_~

Aoyama didn't magically become a bad writer. The fandom is what sucks now. (BTW, the ShinRan stuff being developed nowadays is plot development. Disliking it doesn't make it filler.)

I don't know what to point out first. The fact that I'm one of Ran's defenders (if people go bashing her character at least), the fact that Gosho almost never takes an interesting direction with the relationship despite many possible storylines it could create, the fact that one of my bigger complaints of the Eisuke arc was the complete lack of Ran doing anything, the very existance of the ShinRan thread (that mainly bashes Aicon lately :p), the thousands of writers who did "magically" became bad writers or the fact that you take the internet seriously.

Look at it this way, manga: when you get back you can enjoy reading 20 chapters of plot while we all mope around with the 'no plot!'.
