What Detective Conan episodes should I watch?

Hey...I'm kinda new and had started watching Detective Conan last year in October. ._.

I watched 50 episodes straight(on a anime site that provided crappy videos, had to skip some) before jumping around the whoooole series to watch the series because it got kinda long. From the 100s, to the 300s, to the 200s, then 400s, then to the 500s. I jumped basically anywhere...watched the interesting ones or those that looked important. Furthermore, some DC episodes weren't available so I had to skip some. That was before I discovered DCTP and its new service ConanTV. :/

What episodes should I watch? Since I'm practically jumping around, I'm not sure if I had missed a lot of bits of the show. Ho yay for spoilers spoiling me every single second on Youtube.

I would love to read the manga, but it's too long. Way too long. Sure I read 100 chapters in 1 day for another series, but I'm not really that much of a mystery freak XD.

Just so you know, I watched Kaitou Kid stuff and some episodes important to the plot...

How many episode you want to see?

If you want the main story line then I think I can help you.

I can give you my list of episode in microsof excel.

For the starter, skip all anime original episode.

then if it still too many, i can put priority list.

Main = main story
Side = character development. (not really important, but you will understand more if you see it)
normal = just a regular case. So if you dont have time to watch it, then skip it.

But please remember that conan is already have more then 600 eps. So you will need to see quite many if you want to know the awesomness of DC.

I jumped around since I didn't know which one is AO or really got bored of a case. Some cases were really intriguing.  I just went to ones that looked interesting. I had seen plenty, but I really didn't count the numbers. ._. I feel there's some holes I just fixed up by reading about the story... I'd think it's great if u can give me the original episode list so I will know what I watched, was it the real story or AO. XD

174 (20 Years of Murderous Intent: The Symphony Serial Murders): A good special with fair pacing and a fun trick.

513-514 (Coffee Aroma with a Murderous Intent): Easily, for me, the best case in the 500s and one of Gosho's best overall cases.

Honestly, Dilbert's basically nailed it. The ones he's bolded, especially, aren't just cases I liked but are mostly ones I often cite as favorites as well.

174 is a very good episode. It's not that high on my list of favorites, because none of the case specific characters really 'clicked' for me, but it has very fun action and a couple of clever twists.

513-514 I didn't like much at all. De gustibus non disputandum est I guess.

Same here. It was ok for an AO, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be bolded next to the DR, the Mountain Villa murder, the Moonlight Sonata, the Sato-Takagi-Matsuda case...
