Yeah it's a floating timeline too, so the seasons change with the real world and we can't count exactly how long has it been since Shinichi turned into Conan.

They do keep say it has been several month since 1st and 2nd season ( James black says that it has been several month since Akimi was killed and I think that case was in season 2 I think.)

I agree. I think the manga will go on untill Gosho dies and the anime won't stop until the ratings are no longer sufficient (if that actually happens one day).
