I like the useless dance in the middle. And there isn't too many characters, which is a good thing. BO, Ai, DB, Kogorou and police fans will be disappointed though.

I like this opening because it reminds me of the earlier ones : useless dance, cheesetastic effects, not a gazillion characters involved... I think it's not such a bad choice for a 15th birthday.  ;D

the dance in the middle was so pointlessly random!

secondly, there was a slight ShinRan overload - practically the whole thing was ShinRan

and there was only one character introduction - Kaitou Kid
and there were only 11 characters shown in the last picture

Well I liked the rest of the op. The Vday theme was fitting since Feb is coming up soon. ;p I also believe thats why Kaito made flowers appear.

I couldn't help but laugh slightly at Conan's weird sad/depressed expression since it felt almost OoC. o_O

Weeeell... it's definitely the worst opening to date.

It's poorly executed, no originality whatsoever, embarrassing effects aplenty that all look like they were the output of an amateur Windows Movie Maker user, and then there's the dance. Nothing really has to be said about it.

Jd- they're probably trying to bring back the old days. I think that, in a way, the opening is a compilation of some of the old openings...

Though, the dance was definetly random. And they animated the girl who dances and sings it which is even more weirder. Then again, seeing Ran or Shinichi or Conan dancing to it would be weird. O.o

They should've had the DB do it. Dx (Don't ask me why....)

I don't remember the old days being this bad, to be honest. I also don't think it's just something to call a "compilation" of older openings, but instead the best thing they could come up with--which is frightening and disheartening at the same time (there are certainly AMVs that play more smoothly than this). It's almost like a joke where we're meant to laugh along, but... given this is going to be on national television for a few months, I'm not sure what to think.

People can justify this one however they want, but--from a production standpoint--it's definitely the bottom of the barrel. Even girigiri's recycled opening from a decade ago has better effects than this, which makes me hope this OP will only last for a month before they opt for one that... involves effort. Unlikely, but as it stands, this is a very steep drop in production value.

And hey, the ED's worse. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. There are five "scenes" in total in the ED, and they're all just loops of a few frames with cherry blossoms falling/Conan aimlessly running (though there's one part that's a little cringe-worthy). It has to be some of the laziest work they've ever done. The ED is also over a call-in, which... speaks for itself.
