Okay, I may not be getting what you mean because I'm tired but could you elaborate?
I mean this a series that almost always uses real life logic (even if it is for an impossible number of convenient murder cases) so when it doesn't it's REALLY noticible.
Kinda like Conan not aging.

I think it's Ran that's not aging. Conan on the other hand keeps switching his age every time I read or see an episode. First episode and chap he states he is seven. Then there is a newer one in the 100's and a movie where he states he is ten. Ran on the other hand seems to have stated seventeen this entire time.
As for the FBI and CIA. I'm surprised either of them were put in. Especially, the CIA and how they were put in. The author has been a strict 'killing is never an option' motto for so long. That putting the CIA in and have an agent go in and kill is really shocking. While she didn't kill her dad. She has killed others, right? Yet, Conan said nothing and was like cool as a cucumber throughout most of that conversation. Even afterward, he never spoke badly of her.
