Yo~ so what does everyone think of this eppy?

I was impressed with the animation in this one; was nice to have the original team working on a manga case. There also wasn't the usual recap at the end, which is awesome for pacing.

Absolutely superb animation indeed, what a contrast with 596.

As I said in the other topic, even with a certain amount of fan-service, this case was enjoyable, the DB aren't too annoying and I think it's hilarious when Gosho plays with their juvenile innocence.

Really some of the best animation in a while. The OVA team (who I expected to handle this) annoy me because they have trouble with angles--if someone is looking off in another direction, the faces look very, very warped. There was a moment in 521-523 where Hattori, no joke, looked like a Predator. (I do mean this predator and not this kind)

Yes, the animation was good. I like that it was manga based.

Definitely found this one quite enjoyable. Following traditional DC logic, they've pretty much given away the culprit but to be expected.

Animation was superb, well paced and visually correct. Good mix of humor and awkwardness that harkens back to the 200s.

All in all, thumbs up.

There are certain Japanese terms that either does not have an English equivalent, or, does not need to be translated because they are popular and well-known enough that Western viewers who still don't understand can easily google it up.
Such terms, other than tsundere, are moe, yandere, otaku, sensei, san/kun/chan, kanji/romaji, anime, manga to name a few.

(Some terms I recommend anyone who watches DC to know beforehand are kawaii, itadakimasu, onsen, tokusatsu, katana, kamen, although they do have simple English equivalents.)

If FUNimation were to dub this episode, maybe they'd just say "Is she playing hard-to-get?" or something like that, completely decimating or obliterating the original meaning.

In its current state, yeah.  However, they have been known to keep Japanese terms in series that don't translate well.  Off the top of my head, I can recall "Tamaya" from Black Cat, and they kept honorifics in Ouran Highschool Host Club.
