That was the first time outside of the movies that I've seen Kogoro being afraid of heights. Or is my memory playing tricks on me again?

To me, the culprit wasn't obvious, as they did something that they haven't done ever (I think)

The fact that she cut her finger was a useless information, in almost every episode this kind of information would be useful and point to the culprit

The reason this was added was to make her an actual suspect instead of just someone who happened to be there. This was done to add a false sense of depth to the mystery, but anyone who has seen a Conan episode should have known the second Mouri talked to the guy on the phone that he was being used to establish an alibi.

I thought it was all right for a 500s-era AO. There have been worse... much, much worse...

Not a bad ep, IMHO.  But what really made my day was this shot:

As Jd- said, as soon as they got on the phone it was all clear who the culprit was, I also figured out it had something to to with switching cables but I didn't feel like wasting energy of remembering how the building layout was.

Anyway they thing I am most curious about is how did Conan get the extension cord to the room? The culprit used a bow, I doubt Conan could do that so how did he get it over?

Nah, that bow was way too big for a kid to use.  He probably ran it across the top of the covered walkway and into the closest meeting room.  Remember, the meeting room Nemuri Kogoro is in is not necessarily the same meeting room the culprit used.

ah, I forgot to mention this but this was one of the parts of the episode I liked most, I thought the bag-slap was a nice touch.

Actually, it was.  The pen, which was the decisive evidence, was on the windowsill above the room Conagorou was in.

You know, you'd think that by now, they would use special effects instead of......ballons......with some sort of weird equipment. I mean, the technology in Conan develops like ours even though the timeline doesn't really change. Kamen Yaiba is probably a reference to Kamen Rider, which isn't all that different from Power Rangers/Super Sentei (just one person instead of a whole team). From what I can remember, there was never a monster made of ballon thing in Power Rangers. I think this gun/ballon trick was way too forced.

When I saw the bow, I was like "Oh no.......". At first I thought that they were going to do "The gun was tied near one of the windows and was pointed at the ballon. Then, that man shot an arrow at the trigger which made it fire at the ballon". Thankfully though, that wasn't the case. I also thought it had something to do with the cables, but I was too lazy to try to figure this one out.

Forgive me for not paying too much attention and being too lazy to check, but if that guy didn't confess, can any of that evidance actually hold in court?

For a minute, I thought it was going to turn out they'd worked together to kill him.

I hoped that would be the case, but I knew otherwise......

The AO was pretty good, culprit was obvious but good
I liked the parts where Kogoro was freaking out over heights ^^
And I like Conan's atmosphere, where he's thinking serious about the case
