I notice that Conan often appears in the newspaper whenever Kaitou kid is around.

P/s: Aren't he scared as Shinichi of his publicity in the newspaper due to his abilities to stop Kaitou kid?
Don't anyone get suspicious how a young boy like conan is able to stop Kaitou kid?

And finally, Conan really needs to thank Kaitou for making him famous in the newspaper!

Pretty much. A genius kid or a "really good at almost catching magician thieves" kid sounds a lot more believable to probably even most BO members than "high school detective who now lives with his love interest and uses a watch on her dad to make him fall asleep so he can use his voice to solve cases and hopefully find clues to the Organization".

Hm, I have no idea either. Like you guys, I would expect him to be in hiding from the BO, but I guess COnan's thinking it wouldn't matter

It's probably a plot hole (Depends on the episodes), sure the BO aren't going to easily put two and two together, but after drawing Gin's attention to Kogoro, you'd expect the last thing Conan would want would to be out in papers. (Because let's face it, one very short background check on Conan would be all the BO would need to do to start putting the puzzle together, and after that point you'd think they might just do such an action).

Not to mention the more press he gets the more some reporter is liable to look into Conan a bit too deeply. But hey, it's a convenient plot hole, so who cares? XD

It might be because as Shinichi he stays hidden, now if Conan also didn't want to be involved in news and everything what would ran who already suspected him several times think.

It is strange,  though. Conan is generally opposed to being in the news, except for when he managed to stop Kaitou kid.
I also think it is a plot hole, but I find it a cute kind of plot hole.
I love to see Conan in news.

It may be a plot hole, since Magic Kaito runs parallel to DC, and these cases are to intertwine the two series for the author's enjoyment, I supposed

Consider that the detective boy once invited to help catch Kid and Haibara face was broadcast over the country. I say it' plot hole.

Actually, he always want's "Shinichi" not being mentioned in the newspapers or reports. He never said anything against "Conan" being mentioned in the newspapers. He was also never against the DBs being mentioned, when they caught some culprits.
And Conan lives with Sleeping Kogoro. So people would also think it's more like Conan is getting tips from Kogoro for example. Or that Conan was taught by Kogoro

Conan face is OK. DB face is OK. Haibara face is not OK. She try to hide it herself in the stadium case so Conan give her hat. BO know Sherry's child face.

Ai's face is soooo NOT okay, but I don't remember Conan ever offered for Ai's face to be on the newspaper. I mean, they scheduled an interview for an author (who died). But other than that, I don't remember Ai's face being plastered in newspaper in DC ...
