He must have seen her naked; that's why he dressed her.
She was naked under his jacket, obviously.

Not to forget that he did ask her, since the beginning, about her clothes:

- Shiho: Yes.
- Conan: And.. what about your clothes?
- Shiho: Pervert. I'm wearing it.. the overall that was left in the room.

Conan is a pervert. And I didn't say so; Shiho did.

Conan is mad at himself for not telling Ran how he actually feels, and Ai gives him this surprised look. Then Dr. Agasa comes and the kids and Ai go into the car and Conan says he's sick so he's staying behind. In Dr. Agasa's car Ai starts whistling and smiles.
(Mitsuhiko: Ai seems happy today...
Ayumi: Something good must've happened!
Genta: Yeah! We had curry for lunch!)

Also, in book 23, I think, the kids are doing a play and they choose some samurai story or whatever and Ai is confessing her love for Conan while in character. Foreshadowing?

And it's actually a Kamen Yaiba story, where the women spy who betray the organization (Heard this plot before?) whose played by Ai, confessing her love to Kamen Yaiba, the hero of justice (Again, heard this plot before ?) whose played by Conan..

Call me delusional, but i do believe that Kamen Yaiba Story symbolize their own character...

Unless Gosho f**cked with our mind, this should foreshadow their relationship..

Seriously, I'm a little disappointed that the only place the "Ai is Conan's (fake) girlfriend" idea ever showed up was just barely, after the "Ran's suspicions" file - where it's just barely hinted at with "It's got mail messages from a girl I like" + "You should be thankful - the only reason why it seems like your phone is because I sent you a lot of mail messages"

Shiho has had enough time now to 1) get over her hopeless interest in Shinichi, and 2) to realize that Ran will be the only one in Shinichi's heart... so it wouldn't be horribly cruel for her to be Conan's (fake) girlfriend.

Well, I suppose it might be cruel for Ayumi and Mitsuhiko, but they'd get over it.

Conan gets an letter in which he calls him Shinichi (just like in the Vermouth arc) but he wants him to attend a party with his girlfriend, but cause that would be too dangerous for Ran he chose (with lots of bribing) Ai to come with him to the party.

Conan: *So you get an handbag, a dress, a new make-up outfit, some fancy jewels, two pair new shoes and a free-use-card-to-do-whatever-you-want-with-me. Do you come with me to this party now?*
Ai (thinking): * If i don´t get a kiss from him at this day, i gonna kick Bourbon in his nuts.*

Or Bourbon tells him exactly at the beginning to come with Shiho.
And then they (Shinichi and Shiho of cource)´ll be dancing, to some romantic music, their bodies close to each other, embracing, their faces just inches away... and then a murder will happen.
Ok, i think my trip to heaven is over, good stuff i need more. XD

That's a pretty good idea James, especially with Ai wanting all those bribes, that's a total ai-thing to do, even though she'd probably go with him just to be with him, but there's no way she'll tell Conan that.

Also, did Ai ever get that Fusae bag from Conan?  I remember Conan asked her to do something and she demanded a purse or something.  Conan's gotta uphold his promises!!!
