Well, I finally saw the movie as well, and I liked it. Which might not say much, since I pretty much liked every DC movie out there. :)

Well, seeing everything from the perspective of a DB fan... at least they had their moments in the beginning. Finding 2 bombs is better than what most of the rest of the cast was allowed to do. (Especially Prof. Agasa or Sonoko. The Insp. Nakamori and the rest of the KID taskforce were not much better either.)
Well, it is a Conan movie so I will forgive for not having Ayumi, Mitsuhiko and Genta play as big a role as Conan, Ran or KID. Though I hope it gets better next movie, like all of us. ::)

The "mystery" was... well, was there a mystery? Maybe knowing a little bit more about bacteria than the average viewer was an advantage but I figured out pretty quickly that the "bioterror threat" was not real. Too little time since exposure (no matter how deadly, an incubation period of 1 hour like it would have been necessary for the "victims" to show symptoms during the short flight from Tokio to Osaka) and the symptoms themselves were too obviously located at positions that would be touched frequently. Not to forget the biggest clue that the terrorists took no precaution to protect themselves. So basically it became obvious the moment the "leader" entered the airship and took of his mask.

Still, it was very exciting and entertaining. Though the "second climax" was not that great.
*sigh*

Why do all the criminals want to kill my poor Detective Boys lately? And some people here were getting enraged about Haibara getting hit... but seemed to have forgot that she was about to be blown up with all the other passengers later.

Did I mention already that I liked the movie? Thanks for everyone working to translate it so we don't have to wait until the localized DVD release. Though, once it is out I will buy it anyway, of course. ;)

Most people have a problem with just how dumb the scene was.

I just watched the movie yesterday with my friends :DDDDD
Always thanks you guys for the great subbed quality and for all your efforts!

Personally I found this movie was good in many ways. Except for the ending, where Ran should have kicked or punched KID in his stomach, I liked almost everything in this movie: plot, characters, OST, and such. The BGM when Conan beating up bad guys was hilarious, don't know why exactly but I liked it. Kid/Conan tag team was perfectly adorable, yes, I'm sorry for being a fangirl over this but it couldn't be help! <3

I always find Conan's mission impossible scenes or his way-too-great skills in (almost) everything were funny. Well, I believe this series is based on a shounen-manga right? Why expect so much from -shounen- manga/anime/movie? :3 It's true that those scenes can be irritating sometimes, but hey, They were made for shounen (10~18 yrs old), remember? Don't try to use much of your brain here guys, or else you won't be able to enjoy this series as much like I can't bring myself to like Durarara!! or Reborn! just because they made no sense to me. Just sit back and watch this for relaxation! I'm sure you'll laugh -hard- when you do that.

About the lack of Ai and Kogoro, I don't think it's really a problem. I can understand why many ppl here were dissatisfied with it but it's not the thing to be criticized on for this movie. It's just -normal- to have Ai and Kogoro on the ship even without anything for them to do. It'd make this movie stupid if they weren't. I mean, hey, what will you think if Ran, Agasa and the kids were there but no Ai and Kogoro? How come they didn't invite Kogoro if they knew KID will be there?

The fact that why Conan didn't drop dead when he was shot in the head wasn't it because of his bulletproof eyeglasses? I was sure the bullet hit them instead of his head. I was wondering the same about the second ball though lol I didn't know it can be reloaded XD and I agreed with everyone: Conan got himself thrown off the ship and Kaitou KID flirting playing with goat were awesome!

PS. I'm sorry if I typed something wrong. English is not my first language ;w;

You're already better than xpon, no fear ;)

And totally agree with your feelings, though about the bullet in the head, I think it just grazed his head rather than going right through it. Superficial headwounds always bleed like crazy. Try just scraping your forehead, it'll look like your brain is trying to leak >_>

Quite good movie, but...

1) Conan dodging bullets seemed the same as in "The Raven Chaser" and it was so unrealistic.
2) Conan getting thrown out of a window and getting rescued by Kaitou Kid later - SO UNREALISTIC, that ship wasn't really THAT high, before Kid could rescue Conan, they should've fallen onto the ground.
3) The fact, that there were a lot of accomplices, for some reason I didn't like that. For once I thought that maybe even Jirokichi's bodyguards were accomplices of the terrorists.

Those were the things that I didn't like.

Now for the things that I liked:

1) Kaitou + Ran scene - LOVELY! Some erotic action for once in Detective Conan! But it's still not enough :D
2) Conan touching Kaitou's... you know what, that was so funny :D
3) Conan got shot near the end, seriously, normally I wouldn't like such a scene, but he deserved it after magically dodging all those bullets from earlier.

Also what's with people talking that no one died? That boss guy that Conan encountered fell into the sea, so I assume that he died.

Anime 8-)

He was saved as far as I remember.

Anybody?

I didn't, to be honest. If there had been batteries, I had though.
And that scene was awesomely funny. :D

The bullet dogding was annoying but I have no qualms about Kaito coming to Conan's rescue. His ability to "fly" is canon, as unrealistic as it may be.

I'm fairly certain you misunderstood the implication.
