To be honest, I liked this movie. Not so much on deduction, but it was very entertaining.

I loved it.

If you're watching the movies for the actual cases then you're bound to hate them. The movies are more aout the character interactions and in that regard it fully delivered, although there could have been more Kogoro or Ai. I would have loved to see more co-operation between Conan and Kid instead, but you can't have everything. And the scenes with Kid and the goat and where Conan was fumbling around in Kid's pants completely made up for that.

@Introuble - I really don't understand why you can so easily conclude (and post) that I hated the film. I've never said "I hate this film". Like Dilbert I'm merely pointing out what I didn't like in the film. Yes, I too, love to criticize media.
"Hate" and "love" are black and white. You can't just go and decide who's "black" and who's "white" based on their posts. Some movies I like more, some movies I like less. In some movies there can be stuff that I don't and stuff that I do like. Just because I point out later the more negative stuff, doesn't mean that I hated the movie. In film reviews (or any kind of media review), you will find the reviewer having fun with "butchering" the negative stuff and he might leave out the positive stuff at times (if he's a pro, he won't).
I have very strong opinions regarding some stuff. And when "shit happens" in a movie based on a series that I like very much, why shouldn't I say what my problems with it were?
So to sum it up:
Just because I didn't make a one-line post such as "Oh my god this is the greatest movie I've ever seen in my life!" does it mean that I hated the film? No.
Did I hate the film? No. But there were parts I didn't like.
Did I think it was a waste of time to watch the film? No.
Was it enjoyable to watch the film? Definitely yes, and I can't wait to start to translate it.

Just saying, but... Is everyone female to you? Kor is also a guy.

Kor, I did put your name in parenthesis because I did see your "i had mixed feelings about the movie" statement. However, it leaned more on the negative side imo and based on that, I decided to add you to the other list. But at the same time, I had a feeling that I was wrong so I did state your name specifically....in parenthesis.

As for your opinions about the bullets, again I have to disagree. Nowhere in the manga does Conan show such incredible stunts (iirc). "DC movies realism" is probably a more fit title for what you're trying state. Still, I wouldn't call it believeable and I'm sticking to it. Conan is a detective and not an action hero, and I'd rather a Detective Conan film to be more mystery based than action based.

I know that. I watch this show too you know  :). I know that movies are exaggerated and way beyond the series standards, especially since they're not made by Gosho. Look at movie 13, the BO would never do anything like that. Look at all the other movies, all those stunts would never be done in a the actual DC series. But movies are different, crazy stunts happen all the time. So if a little kid is actually able to use 3 arrows as a jumping aid, and hit a ball in mid-air hitting his opponent several meters away (If I'm not mistaken, the arrows didn't even bend, so they weren't convincing at all.)......Dodging bullets convincingly (except the skydeck scene) isn't that far-feteched.

Such a good way to start the weekend.  I've read comments on the release thread that say this is the best movie ever when I hadn't even got time to watch it for myself these past two days. Well, now that I have, I can't help but agree.

The only predictable part for me was that the lady reporter and cameraman couple were accomplices of the pseudo bio-terrorists.
It became obvious when:
*the video camera got busted -- to draw the suspicion away from the cameraman/hostage poser -- me thinks it's a common tactic
and
*the lady reporter blabbed about the missing detective boys -- I mean, is it normal to worry about strangers when you're in a pinch yourself?

Everything else in this movie, I loved. And that is a lot. There was so much good stuff in it that I kept repeating the frames in which there were Conan-Ai interactions just to see their funny knowing glares. 
Anyway, I'm too sleepy to read back the previous pages so who else thinks Ran and Kaitou Kid make a good pairing? I'm a ShinRan shipper myself but they've become a bit too cheesy for me lately.

I wouldn't mind if MK canon was broken to use Kaito as a relationship wrench for Shinichi and Ran. It would make things more interesting.

Well it would be interesting if Kaito would come between Ran and Shinichi.
Kaito has already done some 'flirting' with Ran when he was dressed as Shinichi ... in movies...
The manga Kaito prolly doesnt even know that Conan is Shinichi, as far as i know. <_<

Since Gosho something makes something from AOs and movies canon like Yamamura's position, I wouldn't get surprised if Kaito will know Conan's identity as Shinichi in the manga. Besides, he already has his suspicions about him, it's only a matter of time now.
