To be fair, I don't think Shiho ever had Shinichi to start with. I do wish Haibara would try harder like she did in the Vermouth arc. It's rather depressing they are still on family name basis with one another. Has Conan ever called her Ai-suffix? That said, I would like it if Gosho made Aoko simply a friend of Kaito's in DC canon and Kaito develops feelings for Ran, but I don't see that happening because Gosho hasn't messed with MK canon much in DC. I'm still waiting on a new female officer to give Sato the run for Takagi. Speaking of which, it's been a long time since they have shown up.

They haven't appeared since they cameoed in the White Day case, and haven't had a decent appearance since Koboyashi's Misunderstanding. Now that they're together, it feels like they're being downgraded to fewer appearences.

tl;dr version: Gosho needs to provide more competition to create triangles in established pairings.

Personnally, I find it hard to even imagine him calling her Ai. It just seems so out of character. O.o
