I think he will not respond... he would be all red with a O_O face... but seeing Kazuha's attitude now I think she might confess NOW, which would be no good... a confession in front of everyone will cause pressure on Heiji and will not make him be honest, since he's that kind of guy... so she better tell him while on their way back or who knows... but not EXACTLY NOW... otherwise it will not have the effect that everyone is waiting

I'd kind of like it to see a little angst between the two of them... I almost HOPE she does it out in public so that way he, as you said, will not be honest and tell her... I don't know, SOMETHING that she could take (in her over-analyzing Kazuha mind that she has) deduce to be a "no" and so idk maybe she'll avoid him or maybe a new guy will come long and make Heiji jealous and- *Starts trailing off, going into love triangles and misunderstandings and the whole 9 yards, accidently making up a new fanfiction*

Yes yes yes! When I started to watch Detective Conan, I liked ShinRan. But When Heiji (and afterwards) Kazuha appeared, I immediately loved them! Perhaps because Heiji is a lot more dense than Shinichi when it comes to love (After all, Shinichi always knew how he felt about Ran, and he knew that Ran was in love with him from the first episode)

I think it could have caused the same effect in me... if they were main characters.... (I'm not calling them secondary but they don't appear that often...)
