Yeah, it seems like he realizes it when he's tied up with her, but the magician one (where Kazuha's hugging the magician in the dark) it's like he's looking for any other explanation.

i was honestly hoping during the magician case that Shinichi would just spell it out for him. I mean he kind of did but still, he should literally said "Hattori, you like her, shut up and deal with it"

I love Candyland so much. I started reading her "30 Hugs" series of oneshots about Heiji and Kazuha, and my personal favourite has to be the one where Kazuha's dad drags her to an Omiai... with Heiji XDXDXD The scene where they run into each other and ask each other what they're doing there is soooooooo funny... and it exposes Heiji's mother for the evil genius that she is XDXDXD

"They're not very happy with us, maybe we should go talk to them."
"Oh, I think we should leave them alone for a while..."
"You think they'll agree, don't you?"
"Not a doubt in my mind. Shall we have some tea?"

XDXDXDXD yeah, that was awesome.

Also, this is the perfect thread to mention that while Viz publications do help me get a handle on what actually happened in the case and of course it's nice to have the manga in physical form so I don't have to steal someone's computer every time I want to read the manga, sometimes I hate how they ruin great lines. I was rereading the Bikunijima case, and they screwed up the best lines of the infamous cliff scene.

Fanscans: "Sorry, Heiji... but i'm giving my long life to you..." *stabs*
Viz: "Sorry Heiji, but you gotta live for the both of us..." *stabs*
Given how she stabbed him with an arrow meant to grant IMMORTALITY, the former worked so much better. Also:

Fanscans: "I ain't gonna let go... so don't you let go either..."
Viz: "Don'tcha dare let go... if ya do, I'll kill ya..."
The former is about as romantic as Heiji's ever gotten, the latter is just WTF. C'mon, Viz, surely you can do better?
