Why does Haibara leave in almost every AO?

Back to the topic… So far, Haibara appear in approximately 290 episodes –more o less- of Detective Conan, most of them are, of course, DB episodes –AO or manga based-, and also she don´t appear in so many AO-DB episodes. 

If things go like this, when Detective Conan finish, Haibara is going to be one of the secondary character that less appear in this anime . Not that I care, though.

Even Inspector Megure –and maybe Takagi-kun- have more episodes that Haibara. Oh the humanity!!!!

Shiho/Ai : 152 episodes
Mitsuhiko and Genta : 192 episodes (193 for Ayumi)
Takagi : 212 episodes
Megure : 243 episodes

Only 152? o.o
Gosho should have introduced her waaaaaay earlier after all. -.-

You obviously do more than others. I don't think the frequency of appearances has anything to do with the importance of a character. The BO members only appear a few times, yet they have major roles in the main plot. Even Shinichi (if you separate Conan and Shinichi as 2 characters) has very few appearances, yet he's the main character and the whole story revolves around him.

The nature of the appearances must also be taken in consideration : are they long or short ? Significant or useless ? Does the character actually talk (if so how much) ? etc...

Most probably because appeared on episode 1 and Akai much more later on. (Can't remember the exact episode. Bus hi-jack? )

24 episodes? Well maybe is because Akai have –in my opinion- more personality that Gin. Akai have so many fans, despiste the fact that almost 2 years have passed, since he “dieâ€

Don't forget that she arrived late in the story in comparaison to the DB or some policemen and that she doesn't appear in most AOs.

Maybe you are right Kain , but, personally, I prefer to see –and enjoy- more scenes of my favorite character, even if the participation of this character in the episode plot is not very significant some times . I prefer that situation, that don´t see my favorite character in 1, 3 or even 6 episodes one after another >:(.

About screw her role, even in the AO Haibara talk and act very little, because her cool attitude 8), so, is hard that in some AO she act or say something that don´t fit with her character  .

Ditto.. The only times those kind of case happened, were during BO cases.. Which only occurred, say.. once every few years
