Okiya and Akai is what will be most interesting since regardless of what theory is right, there's tons of things they could do (and how much they do...or don't do will also be interesting).

Hell, is Amnesia Akai even there?

Yes, the preview of 579 (at the ending of 578) showed Amnesia (Scarred Akai) in the crowd.

Precisely why I hate the previews--they're meant to draw people in for next week, but all they really do is spoil the general upcoming plot. Oftentimes, you really can reason out much of a case's happenings just by watching its previews. If it were acceptable, I'd have removed the previews from the new episodes as well, but alas.

Some of them spoil the next episode, but some don't.
Often, they move around scenes so you think something that isn't going to happen...

Let's say...
Scene 1: Ran is shocked.
Scene 3: Conan is running.
Scene 10: Someone is aiming a gun.

If they put 1,3,10 together, it looks like someone is about to shoot Ran.

But actually Ran saw her mother an another guy. (Just an example)
Conan is running to follow someone.
And the gun is being aimed at a totally random stranger in that one episode.

The fact that any of them spoil the next episode is reason enough for me to disapprove of them. Quite a bit of the genuine suspense that was present in the original manga files (where there are no previews) is lost in the transition to the anime simply because of just how much is spoiled in the previews. Looking at kkslider here, you can see the deal.

Well if you die you'll never see the next episode, so you are between a rock and hard place.

Also, Yeah, Previews suck sometimes, but it's just a convention all anime (most video media in fact) use to try and keep people watching. Not much you can do.

I mean, We could demand a Preview-less version of all future DC-episodes xD Though I think that's unlikely to happen.

I haven't read any manga, yet.
Except volume 9 because I bought it like... 4-5 years ago at Barnes and Noble.

The beginning of FILE 700 where Gin and Vodka talked about Akai is excluded for anime and jumped straight to Mouri family eating sushi, how disappointing.

After Ep 279-280 The Hooligan's Labyrinth, Ai-chan becomes Higo's fan, look like she supported Higo more than Hide.

Ai-chan said "sly scheme" seem talking about Higo, but the true meaning is saying that Conan was stupid enough to do a suicide act for leting Okiya Subaru staying in his house after falling into a few words about Holmes from Okiya, the BO member who disguise as Holmes fan. But Conan only thinks Ai-chan talking about Higo.

Hm, this episode was sorta disappointing. Next week should be more exciting.

But what was up with Okiya appearing?
