that suicidal old guy was dumb. I almost hit my head on the desk after he found the lottery ticket. What was with Haibara though? She was...unusually happy at the beginning.

The first 15 minutes were horrible. I found myself wishing that the guy would just jump on the railway in order for the interesting things to begin.  :-\

And then, Jodie-sensei appeared and my life suddenly seemed brighter.  :)

Did Gosho add him just so he could say "I even thought of robbing a bank,"
So the kids could bring up the story about scarred Akai being at the bank?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

The first half was kinda blah, but I liked it better than 15 minutes of flashbacks which is what we'd have gotten without that mini-case. The scene with Ai talking about soccer was kind of funny, and the old guy was so dense it was facepalming.

Everything afterward was fun on a bun, and the cliffhanger had me cursing up a storm wanting it to not be over yet. And the next episode looks very epic.

Okiya and Akai is what will be most interesting since regardless of what theory is right, there's tons of things they could do (and how much they do...or don't do will also be interesting).

Hell, is Amnesia Akai even there?

I would`t suprised if Okiya turns out as a normal stalker, a lolicon(for shiho) and shoutacon(for conan) freaks, that have no connection to the BO :p

Precisely why I hate the previews--they're meant to draw people in for next week, but all they really do is spoil the general upcoming plot. Oftentimes, you really can reason out much of a case's happenings just by watching its previews. If it were acceptable, I'd have removed the previews from the new episodes as well, but alas.

Eh, the previews don't really bother me much.  I usually don't watch the next episode for a while, so I can't usually remember what it's supposed to be about if it's an Anime Original.  If it's manga-based, then I already know what happens, so it doesn't matter.
