Looking back, what are you thoughts now on the pre-Ai era?

Ai kinda brought plot with her, and made the whole thing far more serious. Before her, the Black Organization didn't really seem that scary, like they were just a high-end Yakuza gang or something. When Ai turned up, shit got real.

yeah,exactly my opinion...before Ai appearence,i didn't really care about the BO,and the cases were awesome(even the DB cases^^),but it was just a manga i read when i was bored...then after Ai came(and BO plot became more serious),i really become a fan of DC,not for the cases but for the BO plot...it was what make DC so special...

True that, the BO was almost non-existent in the pre-Ai era (at least that what it felt like to me), like a ghost thingie. With her introduction the BO was present, also cause she was one of them too, though she´s a traitor. 8)
