how comes she's hardly in the manga or anime? just mentioned one or twice and never seen? and yet we see her father occasionally. that's what i wanna know. i didn't think she had one till i read a passing mention in volume 66 (i'm so happy for my new birthday present)

there are quite pairing in DC but we can only see 1 side most of them

Family members of several DC recurrent characters are not mentioned. This is just an example of a loong list

i think i saw a picture of mitsuhiko's parents and his sister but Ayumi's....is a mystery.

in all the episodes and the movie she appeared in we only see her feet

she's actually mentioned in  that interview with gosho linked to in the other topic:

Q47: What’s Toyama Kazuha chan’s mother like?
A: Who knows? (laughs)

so at the very least she's not dead.

well actually, she still could be if all he said was "who knows". Gasp.

sure and in volume 66, the omamori case. outside the dojo he said her mother asked him to take her some water. and in movie 7 she said she came with her mother and some relatives to kyoto
