It's amusing how even the police task force knows the Ran can take care of herself...maybe a bit too well xD?  I can't wait to see something like this:

And sonoci's right, nearly all the moments that Ran was kidnapped were non-canon. Besides, she still ends up kicking ass in those moments one way or another.

In Movie 4, she was still the one who subdued the murderer even though she was helpless for the rest of the movie.

LOL? SHOUNEN is changing: Most shounens nowadays have strong girls that can beat most guys up but is weak emotionally and always cries(or falls in love with the guy and keeps having dere moments)

In reality, "girls that are saved all the time" are more evident in SHOUJO.

This makes me think that I am too old that I haven't read the more recent shounen. Sorry :/ Now your comment just reminds me of Q.E.D series and I guess it's true. The Shoujo thing - yeah, maybe, but I don't quite read shoujo so I wasn't making any reference to them.

Not saying that Ran is weak or has a weak personality. She is strong and she kicks asses , which makes me think that it would be a pity if her role in the story is limited to "someone to be protected by Shinichi/Conan" despite her potentials to have a more important role in the story as a whole, instead of in isolated cases. So far, she stands there to make Conan constantly worry about not putting her in danger or not letting her get into one.

Ran has a lot of potential to develop as a character. So, I long to see her being given a more equal standing to Shinichi at some point. Maybe not with detective skill, but with her kick@$$ martial arts and other things.

Pfft now that I think about it.  Sometimes when Conan "saves" Ran they are times that she wasn't really in all that much danger.  His freaking out during the summer mystery by Agasa and Ai is a good example of that.  Ai and Conan were freaking out that she was with a murderer while Ran just knocked the guy out with a swift punch in the face (lol).  The times that she was actually all alone and in danger (like getting shot by a sniper rifle), he was kinda passed out (lol).  I think Gosho did that because he doesn't want to draw Conan's reaction to Ran really getting hurt and/or Conan's reaction to not being able to really help Ran.  Gosho did say something about Conan never crying didn't he? 

With that said back on topic.

I know I mentioned this already.  But the next time Heiji calls Kazuha his little follower, someone needs to hit him for being an idiot.  Maybe Akako can set him on fire.  I looveeee Heiji but just...asd;lkfja;.

It would be really cool if Gin in the past was just like Shinichi or something like that.  It's like how Moriarty and Holmes are similar yet very different.  I would rather they left the "love relationship" up for guessing though...not sure why.  It would be awesome to see how the org began. 


Haha though I would really really love to see a "crack" BO episode.  It would be an amazing special...
