I think gosho should not stretch the story anymore........there are lot of characters and a big and long complicated manga of somewhat 15 years..............although DC rocks but we also need a happy ending .......... shinchi x ran forever....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm saying no. I do want to see a satisfactory conclusion, but I think that'll take longer than seven months to acheive. There's a lot of plot that needs working through, and I don't think, at the rate of publication, it could end until maybe 2012 at the earliest. Which is fine by me

Hm... I believe another 2 years are needed and this is only if Aoyama focus in the main plot and leave out the unrelated cases.
And I hope there is some back-up plan in case of Author Existence Failure.

I doubt we would need more than a few pages of exposition to tie up everything that needs to be tied up in Conan. Of course, it won't just be exposition, there'll be some explanation of how Conan/Kogoro/Ran/Gin/Bourbon/Vermouth/whoever figured something out, and there will be a murder mystery or two tossed in, along with some suspense about whether Conan-tachi will survive and how Conan will find enough proof to get the Japanese police to start making arrests, possibly a "save Tokyo/Japan/the World from APTX" plot, too. I still doubt it'll need more than 10 chapters to resolve, unless somehow Conan changes genres and informative dialogue ends up scattered between fight scenes and shootouts.
