I gotta say the plot, BO related or not (though that is the main plot). The twists are very awesome and can be quite unexpected at times. The cases are great too, though there's a lot of meh cases as well as awesome cases. The romance is nice sometimes, but I just gotta love the plot.

Cases. The plot elements of DC are nothing special, though they're perfectly enjoyable to be sure. The romance is cute, but one dimensional (CHILDHOOD FRIENDS) and Kid episodes are my least favorite.

I actually somewhat agree. Except opposite. Cases to me are nothing special, and the romance is one dimensional. plot is awesome!

Yeah, and since there's only a plot relevant episode/chapter every once in a while, that just makes the plot and plot twists even better.

I voted Plot, although I love the romance and the cases can be really awesome sometimes.
(One of the main reasons I still watch the show though is the fact that I really want to see all of the romantic parts of it resolved.)

Yeah, one of the reasons I enjoy it, is watching Conan's (or whoever is finally deducing it at the end) deductions that they create.

I love the cases in DC, especially how the culprit manages to create an almost perfect crime, only to be busted by Conan. The cases are also original. I also like the plot (of course) and the romance of the anime.

Definitely the dead people, and figuring out how they wound up that way. (and the other types of cases as well) If the plot or the romance was the primary lure for me, I'd probably drop the series due to impatience. I really like the plot though and I do wish it would show up more often than it does. The romance I don't give a hoot about, except for the fact it frequently results in humorous scenes. I do like the character interactions, especially among the adult characters.

i changed my mind. of course i watch detective conan for the cases and plot related episodes, but the main reason why i watch detective conan is the fact that detective conan trolls other shows like a champion. i mean, after you watch detective conan you basically can't enjoy other shows and movies anymore because thanks to detective conan they all seem so laughable now.

I know, that was totally the case for me with the Sherlock Holmes movie. Because of DC, I expect mysteries and suspense plots in general to be a lot harder to solve and be more coherent than most writers are willing to put the research into. No wonder I get disappointed.
