Your main reason for watching Detective Conan. [Those who pi

I don't have a main reason ..... everything makes me keep watching DC (everything but the cases, i mean, we are in the Episode #571, nothing surprises me anymore), from the BO plot, the Kid cases and the characters development, the relation between Conan and Ran ( I still don't get how he can still be quiet, i would have told her long ago, or at least tell her that I'm Shinichi, what i feel for her, tell her to move on and keep with her life and then disappear from her side so she can get over me).

In other words, I don't have a main reason xD

i don't have a specific reason either. i simply love the show. it can be complex or it can be funny. it's the fun of it that i enjoy.it makes you enjoy detective work again.    you've got to have a good way to see things if you write stuff where people die. mysteries are the best part of life, sure, they're confusing but it's fun to figure them out. but they also have their sad parts as well as are depressing. no mystery is entirely easy or cheerful and if you write the mystery it's also fun to watch others figure it out. thats the joy of a mystery author.

it's our joy to watch others figure it out and to figure others out ourselves. there is always different stories to every one, leaves you on the edge of your seat. it's full of suspense and well as sadness if need be.

okay, enough of my waxing poetic. i LIKE THE SHOW XDD i like it because of *points to poll* all of the above.

i don't have a specific reason either. i simply love the show. it can be complex or it can be funny. it's the fun of it that i enjoy.it makes you enjoy detective work again.    you've got to have a good way to see things if you write stuff where people die. mysteries are the best part of life, sure, they're confusing but it's fun to figure them out. but they also have their sad parts as well as are depressing. no mystery is entirely easy or cheerful and if you write the mystery it's also fun to watch others figure it out. thats the joy of a mystery author.

it's our joy to watch others figure it out and to figure others out ourselves. there is always different stories to every one, leaves you on the edge of your seat. it's full of suspense and well as sadness if need be.

Honestly, I dont think they're trying anymore. But I still get a kick out of the cases.
B.O./FBI/CIA is good in small doses but if they do another Clash of Red and Black I will go crazy.

Those are reasons for liking the manga itself, but I really like the fandom around it as well. It's larger and friendlier than any fandom i've been in before, and some of the fanfic writers write some amazing stuff (like Ellen Brand and White Mage Koorii and Dragon-sama and Candyland) and are great people to talk to. Plot for me then Kaito Kid.

I absolutely hate episodes where nothing happens, e.g. repetitive murder, kidnapping, detective boys, etc cases. When I watch plot episodes, it makes my heart pound because of thrill.

I have to choose Kaitou KID.

The only reason I'm still here is because I'm waiting for the KID cases to be animated, and for the KID OVA/movie to be subbed.

Plot is too slow, cases are boring, never liked romance.

But if I had to choose when DC is only starting I would pick the plot.

The cases are what made DC famous but the plot has got me hooked totally! So, I chose BO plot.

Everything else are welcome additions - Kaitou Kid, Metropolitan Love Stuff, even the Detective Boys.

Why is that? I'm actually looking forward to another Clash of some sort even if it just ups the anticipation for the ending.

I chose Other. Here's why.

What really got me into the series was the characters and their interactions. There are so many fun characters in DC and they play so well off of each other.

Shinichi's predicament, in and of itself, lends itself to a lot of entertaining complications. For example, early in the series when it was still mostly comedy, I didn't so much enjoy the cases as I did watching Conan stumble over himself trying to be taken seriously by the adults in charge (I do rather miss that these days). And I just loved watching that teenage-male-dignity get stomped on when he's forced to hang out with the Shonen Tantei-dan. Even when Haibara joins up, it doesn't make him feel any better - rather, she just makes fun of him more. And Heiji just takes every opportune moment to poke at him as well. And then there's Kid.. and Yukiko and Yuusaku.. and Ran, unbeknownst to her of course..

In short, I just love teasing the heck out of Conan, and so do all the other characters in the series.

Sorry, Conan. I do it out of love. *huggles and pinches cheeks*

This should have been among the options. I do admit I didn't think of it although it's way up there on my long mental list of reasons for loving DC.

I picked other because there are two parts of my DC addiction. My main reason, at first, was the cases themselves. The tricks, the investigation, the revelation--it was heaven.

Now that my addiction has slightly faded, it's more on keeping up because I seriously want to see the ending, how the many loose ends are going to be tied up. And there are so many. Conan is nowhere near ending. And I intend to see it through to the very end.

And a little part of me likes it for the romance too.

Well it´s pretty obvious that a began to see Detective Conan for Ran , but the plot and the characters interactions simply catch my. I don´t give a damn for D.B. in manga or anime, but the romantic Shin/Ran plot, the Kaito Kid cases, B.O. cases, and, of course, the regular cases with Conan, Ran and Kogoro always keep my attention .

Detective Conan always have something for anybody and that is why this anime is so great.

I had to pick cases. Yeah I love the BO plot and I love the AixConan chemistry even more but the cases is what made me fall in love with this manga/anime. I never thought there were so many clever ways to execute a murder, robbery, infiltration, etc. And even more the fact that someone is smart enough to solve them. And it's a kid. That's the main reason for sure.  

i feel the same, except the part with ai conan chemistry.
in fact the reason that made me watch conan was because he shrunk and he continued to solve murders. then i became interested by the Bo plot, kaitou kid and so on. that's why i've chose the cases options.
