I'm pretty sure all of us have several reasons for watching Detective Conan but I'd like you to pick one. Which reason among the options above is your main reason for watching Detective Conan?

As for myself, My main reason for watching Detective Conan would be the Black Organization because they bring a lot of action,thrill and suspense into the DC series. Not to mention all the plot twists they bring drive me crazy! With the FBI and CIA chasing the Black Organization, Detective Conan has become much more exciting to watch. Without the BO I'd think of Conan differently. IMO The Black Organization makes the most impact on the series.

I love everything in Detective Conan but I'm more interested in it's plot rather than it's cases.

Cases. The plot elements of DC are nothing special, though they're perfectly enjoyable to be sure. The romance is cute, but one dimensional (CHILDHOOD FRIENDS) and Kid episodes are my least favorite.

I had to pick cases. Yeah I love the BO plot and I love the AixConan chemistry even more but the cases is what made me fall in love with this manga/anime. I never thought there were so many clever ways to execute a murder, robbery, infiltration, etc. And even more the fact that someone is smart enough to solve them. And it's a kid. That's the main reason for sure.

I don't have a main reason ..... everything makes me keep watching DC (everything but the cases, i mean, we are in the Episode #571, nothing surprises me anymore), from the BO plot, the Kid cases and the characters development, the relation between Conan and Ran ( I still don't get how he can still be quiet, i would have told her long ago, or at least tell her that I'm Shinichi, what i feel for her, tell her to move on and keep with her life and then disappear from her side so she can get over me).

In other words, I don't have a main reason xD

since the first volome of DC manga sold in indonesia (1996)  and the anime about 2 year later.... i was fall in love with conan....... the complicated trick...... the combine of Thrill, comedies, horor, romance, and evil intent

i don't have a specific reason either. i simply love the show. it can be complex or it can be funny. it's the fun of it that i enjoy.it makes you enjoy detective work again.    you've got to have a good way to see things if you write stuff where people die. mysteries are the best part of life, sure, they're confusing but it's fun to figure them out. but they also have their sad parts as well as are depressing. no mystery is entirely easy or cheerful and if you write the mystery it's also fun to watch others figure it out. thats the joy of a mystery author.

it's our joy to watch others figure it out and to figure others out ourselves. there is always different stories to every one, leaves you on the edge of your seat. it's full of suspense and well as sadness if need be.

okay, enough of my waxing poetic. i LIKE THE SHOW XDD i like it because of *points to poll* all of the above.

Where is the "Haibara" option?

I voted for "BO - Plot". The truth is, I watch DC because of the cases, and I fell in love with DC because of the cases. But I voted for the BO-Plot instead because, in my opinion, DC has the most interesting and well elaborated plot so far. It makes DC even more awesome.

Cases for me. Romance I don't care much about, Kaito Kid is fun as it is now, and I just haven't progressed far enough for me to really be blown away by plot.

I chose Other. Here's why.

What really got me into the series was the characters and their interactions. There are so many fun characters in DC and they play so well off of each other.

Shinichi's predicament, in and of itself, lends itself to a lot of entertaining complications. For example, early in the series when it was still mostly comedy, I didn't so much enjoy the cases as I did watching Conan stumble over himself trying to be taken seriously by the adults in charge (I do rather miss that these days). And I just loved watching that teenage-male-dignity get stomped on when he's forced to hang out with the Shonen Tantei-dan. Even when Haibara joins up, it doesn't make him feel any better - rather, she just makes fun of him more. And Heiji just takes every opportune moment to poke at him as well. And then there's Kid.. and Yukiko and Yuusaku.. and Ran, unbeknownst to her of course..

In short, I just love teasing the heck out of Conan, and so do all the other characters in the series.

Sorry, Conan. I do it out of love. *huggles and pinches cheeks*
