That would be great as long as he still has enough imagination to create cases for both, DC and MK.

Supposedly this is a trailer for the second ep, though it looks like the first one:

Son of a... that's definitely the first OVA, and that's the "Kid Special" that airs during Conan.  So... same damned thing.  Oh well, maybe it'll be higher quality.

One funny thing I found in the first ep. was when he was having his "webchat", for some reason there was a progress bar going, just like in Jurassic Park!

I think it's just that Kaito's watching a recording sent from his mother, and he's just commenting on what his mom says. I mean, I thought it over, and the mother's monologue sounded understandable without Kaito's comments...

I'm actually a bit disappointed with additions and changes of voice cast they used for this special.
They removed Minami from Aoko and placed a currently popular VA on her which I have not idea who she is but I have heard the voice quite a few times in current anime(I am going solely by ear..and though they are rarely wrong, they could be wrong).

Minami on Aoko added to the characters uniqueness as she had this tomboy-ish/cute HS girl voice going for her that complimented the character...now she just sounds and acts like a generic High School girl.

So after watching exactly two minutes of the video posted by scineram, I conclude that the production team went the usual route?

Add a few voice actors that are more popular for the roles they have done in the past/apperance than actual talent while keeping in the constants to please the older crowd, then add over the top comedy scenes, while finishing it with a few fan service scenes, and watch back as the rating go nothing but up.

PLEASE tell me I am wrong on this. You can even lie to me...
P.S.-They better keep Megumi on Akako or I am having Ginrei write an angry letter! And he's good that..I have several letters he sent me to prove it.

Hopefully it is the same, and hopefully someone will cap it, because there are no good "Kid Special" raws out (all 3 are low-rez).

Akako isn't in the special, but if they're doing more she may pop up next. The major plot markers in the manga were the debuts of Kaito, Akako, Saguru and Snake. It would be awesome if she did appear, but I agree that Megumi is a brilliant VA for her in her few, precious animated appearances so far... and both Aoko's voice and Kaito's mom's random new personality annoyed me. She's nothing at all like her manga persona.

You know, perhaps Minami didn't want to voice Aoko for some reason.  o.O  You shouldn't be so hard on them for not casting her... they might have their reasons.

agreed, minami is also in a band. remember that and i heard they've been touring so she might have been too busy to do it

I guess they "could" have a valid reason for not casting Minami but I like my "judge first, ask questions later" approach. Also, is Minami still doing Two-Mix or are you talking about some new band Akemi?

i WAS talking about Two-Mix but then again that was a rumor i heard in a few music shops downtown. i dunno if they're touring again. i hope so i'd love to go to a concert.
